We've just launched a redesigned What's On page event browser (beta), linked from the main menu, bringing all upcoming events together in one clean, card-based view.

What's new:

  • All events in one place - UK and Ibiza calendars combined, always sorted by the next upcoming event first.

  • 🎧 Genre & venue filters - quickly find the events you're interested in, or clear filters with the ✕ on the venue chip.

  • 🔎 Instant search - start typing and the event list filters live, with no page reload.

  • 📅 Quick previews - hover over an event date card to preview the description before opening the full event.

  • 📱 Mobile-friendly - the same smooth experience whether you're on your phone, tablet, or desktop.

⚠️ Please note: We're still ironing out a few issues with the filters, so you may notice the occasional quirk while we finish polishing everything up.

Check it out:

We'd love to hear your feedback - let us know what you think, or suggest any filters or features you'd like to see added! This is just the initial draft version 🚀

We've just launched a brand new DJs section - a dedicated place to browse every DJ we track across our past and upcoming event calendars.

👉 Check it out: https://clubtheworld.uk/djs/

Enjoy - as always, shout if you spot anything broken! 🙌

What's new:

🔎
Full DJ Directory - Browse every tracked DJ, sorted A–Z, complete with upcoming gig counts and total appearances. Use the instant search to jump straight to your favourite DJ.

👤
Dedicated DJ Profile Pages - Every DJ now has their own page (e.g. djs/andy-farley), featuring:

  • 📝 A short bio and social media links, where the DJ has one on file

  • 🎵 An embedded Spotify playlist, allowing you to listen to the DJ's music or latest mixes without leaving the page

  • 🎟️ Upcoming gigs, listed soonest first, with direct ticket links

  • 🏷️ Genre and town tags — click through to discover more events in the same genre or location

  • 📈 A running total of past gigs we've tracked

What's On update - search, filters and a few new sibling pages 🎉

🔍 Proper site-wide search - the search box now looks across DJs, venues, genres, towns and promoters too, not just event titles. Start typing and you'll get a dropdown of matching results grouped by type, or hit enter for a full results page. It's the same search box everywhere now - DJs, Venues, Stats, Cities, Map, Tag Cloud.

  • The rough edge right now: there are still 3 different search bars on the page (the main site-wide search top-right, the new "Search DJs, venues, cities…" box, and the existing "Filter by title or tag…" box) - it's not always obvious which one to use for what, and cleaning this up into something simpler is a work in progress.

🎛️
A cleaner, smarter filter bar - visible controls trimmed down to Search, When, Region and Genre, with everything else (Type, DJ, Town, Brand, Venue) tucked into a "Filters" panel. Every filter you've applied now shows as a removable chip underneath, with a "Clear all" option, so nothing's ever active without you being able to see it.

📅
Picking dates is easier - Month, custom date range and quick presets (Tonight / This weekend / Next 7 days / Next month, etc.) are now one "When" dropdown instead of four separate controls.

🎪
New filters - a Type filter to split Festivals from regular club nights, and a Brand filter for promoters/series.

🗓️
Today / This Week / Next Week / Later sections with a jump nav, so you can scan straight to what you care about instead of scrolling one long list.

🖼️
Pick how you browse - a new view switch lets you flip between the original card grid, a dense "Compact" list (date/title/venue, no thumbnails), or "Preview" (a smaller thumbnail alongside the full details) - whichever suits how you like to scan. Your choice is remembered next time you visit.

🔗
Cards link through properly now - click a DJ or venue name on an event card and you go straight to their profile page.

🧭
New sibling pages, all cross-linked from the same nav bar: a full DJ directory (/djs/), a venue directory (/venues/), an interactive map (/event-map/), city hub pages (/cities/) for London, Manchester, Ibiza and more, a site-wide Tag Cloud (/tagcloud/), and a scene stats dashboard (/stats/) - still in beta, but already showing fun numbers on busiest venues, top genres and most-booked DJs.

Featured events now really stand out, with an animated glowing ring around the card.

📤
Share buttons added to every event card and DJ/venue page.

🐛
Lots of the rough edges from launch are fixed - dark mode is readable everywhere now, Ibiza events no longer paint the whole card yellow, searches with spaces in them no longer break, filters no longer get silently dropped when you click another one, and several crashes on edge-case filter combos are gone.

As always, this is all still evolving, so keep the feedback coming. Thanks for bearing with us through the beta! 🚀

Update: We've shipped several improvements to the DJs section since launch:

  • View Options - Three ways to browse now: Cards (our signature grid with DJ avatars), Compact (the fast A–Z list for scrolling), and Preview (list with small avatars). Your choice is remembered when you come back. Same three options on each DJ's upcoming and past gigs.

  • Faster Profile Scans - We've shuffled the profile layout so upcoming and past gigs sit right under the hero instead of buried below optional sections like gallery/discography/mixes. The reason most people land on a profile - "when's the next gig?" - is now front and centre, with a quick jump nav if there's a lot of content below.

  • Social Links - We discovered social / Spotify / SoundCloud links for DJs and added them to their profiles. If your favourite DJ is missing a link and you know the right URL, drop us a line - we can add it in seconds.

All live now. 🙌

Another update: More DJ profile goodies, here's what's new:

  • Labels & Promotions - DJ profiles can now show the record labels and club nights/promotions a DJ is associated with (e.g. Andy FarleyTidy Trax, Nukleuz), right under the hero. Each one links through to its own tag page on the site where we've got one.

  • Forum Topics, right on the profile - Every DJ's page now lists the latest forum topics they're tagged in, styled the same as their gig cards, with a link through to see the rest. No more digging through the tag archive to find the community chat about your favourite DJ.

  • A tidier header - Simplified the profile header - dropped the separate "Topics"/"Events" buttons since that content now lives directly on the page, and renamed "All Content" to "All Tagged Content" for clarity.

  • Featured gigs stand out - A DJ's featured upcoming gigs now get the same animated ring border as our featured events on What's On, so the big ones catch your eye.

  • Improved social media links – We've refreshed and expanded the social links section, making it easier than ever to find DJs across their favourite platforms.

All live now. 🙌

Another DJ pages update - here's what's new:

  • Tickets, one tap away - every gig card on a DJ's profile now has a dedicated "🎟️ Tickets" button alongside "View event", linking straight through to the ticket page instead of making you click into the event first.

  • More accurate "Plays in" chips - some profiles were under-counting the towns a DJ has actually played, because the chip list only looked at manually-tagged towns. It now also picks up towns from geocoded event data, so the list better reflects reality.

  • ~19 more DJs added to the directory - all previously missing from the tracked list despite being billed on real events.

    All live now. 🙌

What's On update - Brands, Genres, and Tickets 🎉

  • Ticket buttons everywhere - every event card across What's On, Explore, city pages, venue profiles, brand profiles and DJ profiles now has a direct "Tickets" button alongside "View event", so you can jump straight to booking without opening the event page first.

  • New: Brand/promoter pages - /brands/ is a new directory for promoters and event brands (Frantic, Tidy, etc.), with its own profile pages showing everything that brand has put on. Brand names on event cards now link straight through to these instead of just filtering the list.

  • New: Genre pages - /genres/ gives you a landing page per genre (Tech House, House, Trance, and more), each showing upcoming events, most-booked DJs, top venues and where to find that sound.

  • Venue profiles got richer - venue pages now show a description, a gallery of flyers/photos from events held there, and a link to the venue's own website where we have one.

  • DJ profiles got richer too - the social links row has been redesigned, and now supports Spotify, YouTube and Linktree alongside the existing platforms.

  • Clearer stats everywhere - "Most-booked DJs" and "Top venues" panels (Explore, Cities, Genres) now show upcoming vs. past gigs split out, not just one lifetime total, so you can see who's actually still active.

  • Fixed main global site search as that was briefly broken (returning "Page Not Found") after the last update, that's fixed.

  • New: Explore hub page (/explore/)

    • A single page bringing together Upcoming Events, Clubbing Cities, Genres, Most-booked DJs and Top Venues in one place - now the site's default landing page, with its own "Explore" tab leading the navigation bar.

    • "Most-booked DJs" and "Top venues" now show upcoming vs. past gig splits, plus a clear "N gigs" headline total

    • Hero heading simplified from "Explore Clubbing Events" to "Explore Events"

    • Fixed: the page's font wasn't loading correctly, so it was falling back to a generic system font

  • What's On card improvements

    • Event flyer images no longer get cropped or stretched - they now display in full, with the surrounding space filled by a smooth colour blend instead of a hard edge

    • Cards with lots of tags or DJs no longer stretch to different heights - the tag row now shows up to 4 with a "+N more" link

    • "View event" is now a secondary button so "Tickets" stands out as the main call to action

    • Cleaned up hover effects across cards, chips, buttons and nav links for a more consistent look

    • Fixed a readability issue with the active filter option in dropdowns

  • Other fixes

    • Fixed: the Brands link had gone missing from the navigation bar

    • Navigation bar reordered to put the most-used sections first

    • General security hardening on filters and page rendering across the site

As always, still evolving ... 🚀
