hey guys - yep @Tony P as i said its a new world haha - im enjoying just hitting a button to see how it works BUT ... it doesnt always work well - in fact often it doesnt... so now i need to learn to beat match myself on a "virtual CDJ" haha - another learning process in itself really loving it

Nice one Si I’m pretty sure you will be able to mix the traditional way on your set up. Without setting beat grids and using sync. i often find it more enjoyable to beat match rather than sync as that’s the part I enjoy. sounds like you are enjoying the process 👍

Just seen you updated list James 👍 a nice collection you have there. I spent most of yesterday putting my studio gear back together now the room is decorated. Still need to paint my DJ desk but it’s almost there now.

That’s going to be really handy for some people !!

❤️ what can I say. CTW was a big part of my life. I don’t think I would be the person I am today without it. I made some fantastic friendships you especially have always been there for me always told me how it is and been brutally honest with me.

Update: Got some speakers. focal alpha 80 monitors - over XLR connection. that’ll help with the delay

Thanks James. I’ve seen they also do a one off fee of £70 for just his course, so that’s worth thinking about too. There is definitely a growing number of people interested in music production, so incorporating that into CTW could be a good move 👍

Oh cool - yeah I love the train for that - spent months just purely doing music producing tutorials etc - now I use train mostly for IT training courses (Cloud, DevOps) - again all video based. I'll never drive to work ever again - the time is way too valuable for me for training. I might even play around with a few iOS music apps on the train from time to time (Korg, Maschine ...) I'll send you a list of the companies & courses I've used or plan to

I know what you mean about finding time James and I don’t even have kids. I love sylenth it’s so versatile. I’ve recently bought serum and spire which I like a lot too. It’s was a bit of an addiction as was buying plugins all the time. They market them so well and it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking they will make your music better. I think I’ve finally reached a level of plugins where I can honestly say that I don’t need any more. I’ve spent a fortune ha ha on hundreds of the bastards. I’d be interested to see your updated list when you have time mate 👍

Very similar to you @Dani Babyboo - I went from D&B, Jungle (a little), to Trance then Hard House, Hard Trance & Techno (with a bit of Funky House thrown in the middle). But basically Trance --> Hard House and now kinda back to anything Trance related. It's great to hear your background story and how you discovered this website !
