From: Bournemouth, Dorset Birth Year: 1982 Contact: 07834 919123 / chris@chrishawkes.com Website: www.chrishawkes.com Started Playing: 2001 Styles: Trance, Hard Trance, Techno & Hard House Email: chris@chrishawkes.com Biography Chris spent the latter years of his teenage life in the Opera House in Bournemouth worshipping the DJs week in week out. It was after a few months of these banging nights out that he decided he wanted some of the action, so a pair of decks and a mixer was purchased. Three years on and Chris mixing style has been described as tight & technical which has won him sets at major promotions in London and around the country. Chris has also just finished a year studying for an HND in Music Production, which was attained at distinction level, so is now producing his own tunes. Music Policy Chris' music style has evolved from the early days of euphoric trance, progressing onto the hard German Trance and now settled on hard house and techno. With a collection of around 700 tunes, variety is always on the agenda, whether it is trance, hard trance, techno or hard house! Future Plans Chris will be graduating from Guildford's Academy for Contemporary Music in October this year so will continue to produce and play his own tunes within his sets, whilst continuing with self promotion for DJ sets. Is this the one and only Chris Hawkes Good Luck fella We covered each cd with a blank label, listened to them all then picked out the 10 which we thought were the best judged on mixing ability tune selection and general layout of the cd. We then peeled off the labels to reveal these 10 qualifiers. in no order. ha ha ha well it was a normal night out ! on are way to bournemouth for a banging night at slinky to see lab 4, guyver, and paul maddox and the delicous tara ! get to my mate alex's house and this claire the promoter phoned him up and said the tidy dj's are running well late and i havent got any ! bang alex says i have to mates that can play luckily i bought my tunes with me to play at a mates.. 10 mins later she rings him back and say's get ya arse down here soooooo we run like loons to slinky straight in there and to the box never before have i been behind the box but it felt gooooooood ! ha ha wack's on the first tune and the crowd get the jist that its all ganna go off so chris then mixes in he's first tune and the dance floor slowly starts to 25 mins in and its happening then the tidy dj's turn up but hey who cares man we just played at slinky.... whoooooooo But that wasnt the end of it.... oh no lab 4 have just finshed an imense set hard as nail's ! but they stop the crowd were going one more one more ! so claire comes up to me and says have ya got one more ???? i look at her and say ohhhhhhh yes ! flick through me tunes and bang there it was paul glaby - kick it on ya gooooooooooo ! whooo ave it ! a full slinky dancing to my one more tune it was amazing ha ha and thats my full storty really at home wishing i could do it all again... here's some piccy's ignore my face inthis one suprised might be it !! ave it boyyyyyyyyyys
