This prestigious awards ceremony is now in its ninth year and was the first event to solely honour and celebrate those DJs who have influenced dance music across the globe. In the past eight editions, the DJ Awards has grown to become one of the most important and internationally acclaimed events to be held in Ibiza, undoubtedly the hub of the dance music industry during the summer months. International DJ´s such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Frankie Knuckles and Paul Oakenfold to name but a few, have all been past winners. The special one off event will once again bring together elements from Eddie’s infamous Bosh CD compilations for Mixmag, as well as a hand-picked selection of cutting-edge artists from around the globe. Expect energy, anthems and more scratching than the waiting room of an allergy clinic. Eddie Halliwell should need little introduction, having made one of the most remarkable ascents to fame in dance music. Despite having only just turned 25, he is now firmly established as one of the most exciting DJs in the world. A fact made even more remarkable when you consider that he burst onto the world stage just three years ago, as the highest new entry in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll. Since then his rise has been unstoppable, a fact recognised at the start of 2004 when he was crowned Mixmag magazine’s “DJ of the Year.” His unique blend of hard dance, trance, techno and hip hop scratching, is in demand from Australia to Japan and this summer he’s been enjoying his fourth season as resident at Judgement Sundays in Ibiza.
