After the amazing success of our first trip abroad with you crazy lot we all had so much fun we are going again. It was potentially going to be a one off but within 30 minutes of the first party on the Friday night we just wanted to carry this on - bit of a no brainer. Some of the text below is the same as the last event because as my grandma used to say "if it ain't broke them don't fix it"! For our 'Second Dirty Weekender' there is STILL no better place for us than Amsterdam. BUT... This time there will be time for Anne Frank, Tulips and Clogs! We are spacing out the events so you can have time to actually do some sightseeing. Not too much though as it's very much a weekend of Dirty Beats in some of Amsterdams finest venues. We have had a change up and have teamed up with House is a Feeling who certainly know a thing or two about putting on parties. So expect more like minded people to join our amazing Dirty Stereo faithfuls. We have also a new bunch of venues for you. Friday we are once again back to Delux at the Escape venue and this time we are adding the Royal Room so we can have 2 rooms of House, Tech and Oldskool. Saturday we are back on the water with an even bigger 'rave' boat which also has 2 rooms. Once the fun is over we then get back on dry land with a couple of hours for you to get your sea legs back we are off to Akhnaton for the after party action until the small hours. Sunday is another new venue being the plush Supper Club. This is a one room venue so we can all spend the final day together sweating and swapping stories of the mayhem of the last few days. We have a fantastic lineup for you with some firm favourites and also some newbies. It will be the same ethos though. A bunch of great DJs that we all consider as friends so we keep the amazing family vibe the parties are known for but still no Carl Cox on this one! A pioneer and innovator of the scene, Madam Zu has enjoyed tremendous success and an enviable reputation worldwide. She has a distinctive style and sought after sound, and has the god given talent of turning a dancefloor, into a sweaty, euphoric, mass!! Music styles played: Hard Dance / Hard House / Techno / Trance / Nrg / Acid / Retro / Old Skool / Drum 'n' Bass / Breaks Madam Zu began her DJing career in the early 1990s at the famous Sterns Night Club in Worthing, UK. She also began promoting partys herself in Cornwall, UK. During 1997 Madam Zu (supported by the NSPCC) was a Youth facilitator for Rave/Dance and took part in giving youngsters an insight into the skills of DJ/Mixing.. 1998 saw her successfully complete the final exams of a 2 year Media and Sound Engineering course she also produced her first record release Medussa on MOM Recordings - this track had airplay on various radio stations including Kiss FM London, UK. In 1999 Madam Zu wrote for various underground music magazines such as Eternity and Implant. The end of 1999 saw her and Jon Does production of 999 Matrix / The Red Pill on Mohawk Recordings 9 being officially chosen as the Hard House Single of the Month in WAX Magazine - January 2000 issue. It was also voted within the top three best tunes of the year in the Energy UK s Readers Poll 2000. 2000 also saw her have six more successful releases on NILE, Mohawk and Aztec Records. The Raindance Rave Festival returns to its spiritual home! It is our aim to recreate the now legendary parties and atmosphere of 2 years ago, when this venue was known as The Drome. Raindance were the first and ONLY rave promoters to risk taking on this daunting, multi arena venue. After our 8 parties at the Drome, we had turned the Drome and the Raindance Rave Festival into Londons, if not the Countrys, most talked about event!!!! Now, 18 months since our last event (when The Drome, under new management, became The SeOne), the venue has at last got its act together and done the necessary [censored] that the venue was crying out for - finally doing justice to what is now undoubtedly Londons premier multi-arena rave space. It is time once again for Raindance and you the ravers, those of you who were lucky enough to go to our events at The Drome and those who weren't, to take up the challenge and again produce the legendary vibe and atmosphere that ONLY Raindance events at the SeOne can prodcue!! I gather some of us on here are DJ's - whats everyones style? Rather than just meeting up and clubbin together why dont we organise a clubtheworld night somewhere, makes sense? Me, well im into House / Garage / Hardhouse / Retro / OldSkool / D&B / Trance all sorts i like to keep an open mind, plus it means i can pretty much work anywhere - versatility is the key Also what makes a DJ Unique - well i try to make my sets unique, take for example David Morales, this guy deserves respect, saw him at the mint club a while back, learned a few things. When im playin i try to work with the crowd as much as possible the main trick i find is to take plenty of Accapella's - this way i can drop one over the top and really screw peoples heads up, hard as it is to do its well worth masterin - anyone else?
