Andy Farley used to run a night in London with BK called Release some years ago now where he could play music he likes (not necessarily what promoters want him to play; not necessarily standard hard house) along with mates. More of a build -up playing tech house and techno. He's started up a similar kind of night, again called Release, with Sarah G. Si Griffiths and various guests (first night had Ian M), in Birmingham at The Nightingale , upstairs floor. Some peeps may know of the 'gale as the place Isomniacz had their after parties when they had events in Brum, others may know it from the Tony deVit memorial Tidy organised there earlier this year. The Nightingale is on the corner of Kent and Lower Essex Streets and the entrance for the top floor is on Lower Essex Street, opposite DV8. It's on Sundays from 6pm to midnight , (at present - it may run later; they're still experimenting with what works and finding out more about what people want), and the entry price is just £5. They are also selling a double album mix CD for a fiver at the club - one CD mixed by Andy Farley, the other mixed by Sarah G. The next one, on Sunday 28th. December , at The Nightingale, will feature Trade and Tin Tin's Anthems . If you've ever wanted to get an inkling of what Trade and the sound that gave birth to Hard house was like, or what one of Birmingham's legendary but now long gone clubs, (Tin Tin's), was about then come to this. I think they'll be closed for a couple of weeks after New Years and then starting up again late in January, so you'd have to wait a few weeks to sample it if you're wondering what it's about. Info on both Trade and Tin Tin's is on the 2Klub website at: Trade: http://www.2klub.com/trade.html Tin Tin's: http://www.2klub.com/tin_tins.htm as is info about Release: Release: http://www.2klub.com/release.htm I know that they're looking for people to help promote it, and though we're talking about one of the country's top DJs this is a very personal and low-key event for both Farley and Sarah G. organised purely around the music and for people who enjoy quality dance music played by masters of their craft. If anyone is interested in helping promote it please feel free to contact me: Jonathan@2Klub.com . The most important promotional tool is word-of-mouth so please come along and check it out and spread the word if you like it.

STARTS AGAIN FROM 18TH. JANUARY 2004 Andy Farley used to run a night in London with BK called Release some years ago now where he could play music he likes (not necessarily what promoters want him to play; not necessarily standard hard house) along with mates. The music would build up in intensity centred on tech house and techno. He's now started a similar night called Release with Sarah G., Si Griffiths and various guests (first night had Ian M), in Birmingham at The Nightingale, upstairs floor. Some peeps may know of the 'gale as the place Isomniacz had their after parties when they had events in Brum, others may know it from the Tony deVit memorial Tidy organised there earlier this year. They'll be closed for a couple of weeks after New Years and then starting up again late in January Info about Release is on the 2Klub website for the moment until a Release site has been started: Release: http://www.2klub.com/release.htm I know that they're looking for people to help promote it, and though we're talking about one of the country's top DJs this is a very personal and low-key event for both Farley and Sarah G. organised purely around the music and for people who enjoy quality dance music played by masters of their craft.
