I hate the massively skewed reporting in the media that seems to suggest Labour have irrevocably fucked-up, or have lost all public confidence, etc etc. It's as if they seek to gradually coerce us into a certain way of thinking ... by telling us what our own opinions are. scratchy.gifbaz.gif

Also some people seem to believe the war in Iraq is the only issue.

Well said. Even though I am not voting Labour.

Labour have done a pretty excellent job with the economy. If you think about it, it really hasn't been this good since the 80's.

any party given the economic circumstances when labour took over would have done well with the economy! was a huge stroke of luck for labour the way things were on the up when they took over. changed the general conception msot people ahd of labour = bad with money.

worst thing that happened for the conservatives was john major winnign the election. if he had lost then and let labour taken over during the big economic downturn then, labour would not ahve got back in again for many many years.

would epand mroe but i only woke up about half an hour ago and even this is currently taxing my sleep deprived brain.

Yes it may be true that the Labour Party did take over the economy as it was very healthy and on its way up, but nonetheless, 8 years later, it is still in tip-top form and this is no accident. However, the current policies of the Labour Party are far from what I call Socialist (abandoning Clause 4????)

We really do have 2 right of the middle parties in the UK and none on the left.

Here's to another 4 years of Labour Conservatism.

they really are starting to be interchangeable, bit like how the republicnas and democrats are very similar nowadays as well.

i still think you'd have to be an idiot not to have done alright economically in the time period they've been in power. george bush running up a stupendous amount of debt in his first term in office being a case in point.
