ive noticed it seems an awful lot quieter around here these days. i used to come on quite a long time ago an have only come back recently and it seems very quiet compared to what it used to be like.

I still come on here to read the posts but tbh its catch 22 - coz theres not many peeps on here now no1 posts so the ones who come and look havnt got much to reply to!

Basically many people were complaining that there were;

 

1) too much random posting and posts to keep track of

2) too many arguments, generated by a select few

 

And quite a few members 'left' because the atmosphere turned bad, we've cleaned up the site and the membership and we now think the atmosphere is a bit friendlier round here. We also take a firm view now when it comes to people attacking each other un-necessarily. There is also no need for moderating now, apart from moving the odd post about (thanks Lisa/Maria/Amanda). The site is far less time consuming to maintain than it used to be which is excellent - we can just leave it here for people to use and it can grow or shrink as it wishes.

 

Many members are on many other sites, as I am, other sites that I recommend you join are;

I've done a fair bit of analysis and when comparing the registrations to the actual postings its clear that people basically come and go through phases - so the membership never really grows in terms of active posters month on month - there is a constant turnover of people who want to chat & club and this I think is good and healthy - we all get to speak and meet more people than we would if we were all stuck in one smaller clique say The site is about speaking to and hopefully meeting more people - ideally not just from this country but this is a long term plan lol. Its possible than one month no one will post, another month 100s of people post - it doesnt really matter or mean anything really - its quite nice not being able to predict who you will get to speak to next. Currently I personally get to speak to at least one or two new people with similar interests a month either through this site or another and I have to say I love the net as this wouldnt be the case without it's existance.
