techno tunes include:

Tiesto 'traffic'
Ricky Forbis 'no regular
Marco V vs Jens 'loops and tings'
Marco V 'Godd'

Sorry to be so predictable but, techno ? I'd call these tunes tech-trance.

or as a DJ tool (as it was originally written for) imo

fuck off with that shit.... every record is a dj tool no matter what genre....

i know what you mean by that tho, but i really dont think this fits into that catagory... a dj 'tool' would be jst very close to a drum track that does fuck all for ages..

this track has defined sections to it... its no dj tool.

ive made up a new genre for this type of tune...lol

STADIUM TECHNO!!!

other stadium techno tunes include:

Tiesto 'traffic'

Ricky Forbis 'no regular

Marco V vs Jens 'loops and tings'

Marco V 'Godd'

a compilation coming to HMV near you soon! hehe

yeah - you have a good point there.

i'm only saying what i read in DJ mag, should know better then to quote a hardhouse DJ's comments on a techno track lol.gifblushing.gif

its not really hard techno tho. its more a fast bouncy tune, hence it being more accessable to the hardhouse crowd.

great tune, but too bouncy for the avarage techno set. works etter in a hardhouse set or as a DJ tool (as it was originally written for) imo

i would disagree mate. was chattin to a mate that makes techno for a living and he said it was at the extreme end of hard techno. but liam is right most techno dj's wont play it because it's hard bass in it. picotto would as that's his thing, lol.

Hahahahahahaha ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I think he might be winding you up Mr Scream !!

I don't claim to know a lot about techno, but I have enough 'hard techno' to know that this tune is deffo NOT hard !! Any tune that fits into a hard house set (by definition) cannot be hard !

Try listening to some releases on Tresor records and you'll get the idea !

1. Agreed with Mod1 et al: it's not that hard. It's neither fast by "hard house" standards nor hard by techno standards.

2. I think it's a great tune.

3. I think it's a blend of trance, techno and hard house elements. I don't see the need to pigeonhole every track into "trance" or "hard house" or "techno". Most of my favourite tunes "borrow" elements from several genres. In fact nothing bores me more than straight-up, middle-of-the-road, archetypal "hard house", "trance" or generic "techno". You can tell when a producer or DJ has an appreciation for more than one genre.

4. Who is to say "you can't play X in a house / trance / techno whatever set"? The whole joy of DJing, for me, is mixing and matching and seeing where different genres cross over! If a tune fits in, it fits in.
