After the tsunami of Boxing Day, this seems even more of a good idea... Basically register for a British Airways website account and British Airways will donate £2 to UNICEF... Why not use a redundant e-mail account if you don't normally like registering for this king of thing?

Visiting the British Airways website will make a real difference to the lives of children around the world this Christmas. The airline has pledged to donate £2 to Change for Good, British Airways’ award winning appeal for UNICEF, for every person that registers online at ba.com.

The simple online registration allows customers to keep up-to date with special offers from British Airways and to receive the latest information on hotel and holiday promotions.

This year, British Airways Change for Good is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The partnership has now raised over £18 million for UNICEF mainly through British Airways’ customers donating unwanted currency on flights.

Mary Barry, head of community relations at British Airways said: “Customers onboard our flights are wonderfully generous by donating their loose change. Now they can donate to this fantastic cause online. With the click of a button, our customers will be able to raise money for UNICEF and keep up to date with our great special offers.”

Hugh Yexley, UNICEF corporate fundraising manager said: "The money from British Airways Change for Good over the years has made an enormous difference to children around the world. We welcome this new fundraising initiative.”
