Got this cd for xmas & cd one is great, wicked tunage of the techy variety but what is annoying is some of the tunes are only 2 mins into a mix when a new tune is mixed in

 

Listened to cd 2 once & found it too hard trancey for my liking but will give it another listening too tho before defo giving it thumbs down

 

Anyone else heard this cd?

loved cd 2 as i love hard trance and had some uality tunes on there

Im not liking the new hard trance sound it is tooi piercing & tinny for my liking bring back the old Reynold/Lawson sound not this new screech

Been listening to cd 2 on this mix & I take it back it isnt actually too bad really, a wee bit trancy for my liking but cool all the same.

 

Still love cd 1 as techno is my love & love the techy influences on this cd

i like the older hard trance stuff more i think.

tunes like JFK - Good God is a great trance stormer! Though new tunes i have that are hard trance are DJ KIM - Time and space, Alphazone - Rockin', Dark By Design - Sinister etc. Although, i haven't listened to this extreme euphoria mixed by BK i do have the extreme euphoria mixed by lisa lashes, BK and the tidy boys - that was a good album. BKs mix was fab! i loved it

a few techno stabs on that 1 huh?

 

also what i am listening to right now is Hard Dance Anthems mixed by JFK RobTissera and AndyWhitby. its on the Rob Tissera CD just now, and its great! i like the JFK CD in that it is a lot af trance n i like that!

the Rob Tissera CD seems to be a lot of techno and house/trancey sounding stuff n i like it!

the Andy Whitby CD got a lot of old skool hard house and he does acappellas all over the place! its cool and fast n hard! but i prefer the up-to-date hard dance to old-skool hardhouse.......

that cd has no interest to me at all, not a fan of any of those, tissera is ok, but all too trancy for me well except Whitby & he is not my cuppa not impressed with the accapellas & cheese much

 

you need to listen to some proper acid techno my love, try to listen to some old smitten

That comment sums up the scene right now - its all high pitched squeels and sounds fucking terrible... thats what has driven me into other genres as its driving me mad as every producer seems to be a technikal/dbd wannabe without being nas good as either

yep same here Chris, the hard trance sound of the last year or so has been in my opinion dire as has the HH, but have discovered a few quality HH events that play top tunage & progress the night just right.

 

Think this is also why of late im loving the techno more & it is all Tony mixes at home now.
