money permitting im doing the lot this year! Im 37 this year so its going to have to come to a stop in the not too distant future so i might as well make the most of it..

 

anyways, i shall be at Global with a tent, tins of beer, camp fire going, and a CTW flag to show where i am... anyone who comes along is welcome to join us!

A few of my friends have told me I have to go to GG coz "its tradition" but seeing UK events then seeing DV has opened my eyes. Dont get me wrong, GG is a fookin good thing, but DV is so much more organised, catered and it seems ALOT friendlier for some reason.

 

DV it is for me. I just gotta plan it better this time around. I dont think Craig will want to be walking round Amsterdam town centre at 4am trying to find a cheap hotel again.

yeh & as Dani has pointed out after last years trouble it will more than likey be a right pain in the royal arse to get into GG just for the car searching etc, not in the sense of gettin in but the time side of things fook you'll miss half the day

either that or they wont search and more ppl will end up taking tguns/ knifes in and getting hurt and it could be one of us and someone could end up dead

Godskitchen Global Gathering is to expand to two days for 2005.

 

The annual dance event - which will be in it's fifth year - has been attracting around 50,000 people to dance the night away to the world's best DJ's at Long Marston Airfield near Stratford Upon Avon.

 

But for 2005, it will be expanded to include a Friday night of live - and predominately dance - acts, indispersed with DJs, running from around 5pm until 2am, whilst the Saturday will have DJs from 2pm until 6am on the Sunday morning.

 

To help revellers cope with the dance overload, they'll be camping facilities for the first time, with the campsite to open on the Friday morning.

 

Tickets will be available for either day, or for both days with or without camping. Prices are currently unknown, and tickets are not yet on sale.

 

No acts have been announced yet - an announcement is expected sometime early next year. The stature of live bands for the Friday is expected to include some huge album-selling dance acts.

 

Radio 1 is linking up with Global Gathering in 2005, and the event will be broadcast.

 

Godskitchen Global Gathering 2005 will take place at Long Marston Airfield from Friday 29th July until 6am Sunday 31st July. See you there!

eeek just remembered theres a big event down here in swansea possibly round about that date which I will more than likely be going to - think it 'might' be the begining of the month though, not too sure. Will have to check ..

If its anything like last year there will be global, DV the week after and Escape into The Park the one after that. If you have a choice do the first two but depending on the line up and physical fitness/ cash after the first two I may be up for a bit of Escape in the Park Action myself. C'mon if a pensioner like me can doing it a young slip of a girl like you can

Im deffo going to the HQ thing in the Dam this year too - was November last year so I would imagine / hope there is the same thing this year aswell - got a few people interested in that event already !

 

You and Mark Fancy it ? The line up last year was TOP DOG.

im same as ginge dancevalley it is for me and fact my sons birthday is on 30th july and i was proper freaked at the fact of ppl bein stabbed last time and what ya gona fdo be able to go back and forth to ur car as pleased and are they gona search everyones cars as u enter like at tidy

 

its ok for 4000 ppl but not 35000 ppl

 

i cant see this is gona be organised right or have proper searches and security after what happened last year

agree with you on this Danni - plus I dont think it starts in the Night..I thought it was the afternoon and finishing well early? Judging my the vomit filled toilets last year just after a few hours Im not convinved about the facilities and the last thing I fancy is not enjoying the full day because I feel orrible and grubby. If the line up on the Fri is bloody good I may consider it but I would almost rather focus on Sat when its all going to be happening.

We are definitely up for this chick given the line up (see my post in the Southern events forum) but no date confirmed yet. It is normally the first or second weekend in August but as soon as I know for sure will post.
