A weekend off equals....

So, I was having a weekend off. Was going to Oxford to relax and chill out for the weekend.

 

Thursday night I went to a local little night in Birmingham, Hex-A-Tek. Afterwards we went on to Subway before popping around a mates for a bit, and then going on to another mates before calling it a night. It wasn't too bad, nice and easy going and not a heavy one by any stretch of the imagination.

 

Friday night I then decided to go to Cheltenham with a mate for Residency's Tsunami fundraiser. What a night - gonna write a review... It's hard trance, which made a nice change, and this is really somethihng special on the hard dance scene at the moment - haven't got enough praise for it! Afterwards ended up back at a house party in Cheltenham.

 

Satruday night we ended up going to Hard Trance Lunacy in Oxford. GRH was playing, and I'd remember hearing him at H-Force after Sundis North back in 2003. Decided to go along - I'd remember him being quite hard, and this was a hard trance night, but thought we'd go along....

 

It comes to closing time and we decide to head down to Twist in London... Bumped into Tony and Lisa ( ).... Ended up leaving about 2 o'clock for a bit of a emergency, but alls okay now.

 

So much for a weekend off, eh?!

Twist was great... Karim was quality as usual, so was Mr. Gilligan!!! Really enjoyed both sets... Sure did have a blast. I was knackered and started moving much slower, but carried on stomping for as long as possible.

 

Will deffo let you know next time I'm down... We do just seem to turn up at Twist though, making the decision sometime between 2am and 6am - and normally dragging as many people as we can.

That's not fair... I really did go in with the intention of having a weekend off. Then it was a case of, "Well it's a charity do and it finishes at 3 - so it's not really a full night out."

 

Then it was, "Well, it's only the one night out... We'll stay in the rest of the weekend."

 

Then it was, "Well the night in Oxford finishes at 3 - so it's not a full night out, really."

 

Then we gave up making excuses... But we did try to have a weekend off then a much quieter weekend all the way until about 2am Sunday morning. We tried! And failed...
