Fox hunting ban - what are your views?

LISA I DO SEE YOUR POINT ABOUT THAT AND IM NOT REALLY ARGUING THAT ITS THE BEST WAY TO KEEP PEST UNDER CONTROL I JUST THINK IT SEEMS A WASTE OF GOVERNMENT TIME AND MONEY PUTTING A BAN IN PLACE ON FOX HUNTING WHEN THERE ARE CRUELER THINGS IN OPERATION THAT REQUIRE ATTENTION!

Yeah I see where your coming from & in all honesty I really do not care what way it goes at the end of the day, but I do feel it is cruel & disagree with it.

 

There is far worse issues in this world to be worrying about but in reply to the original question on this thread & im a no ban it!!

Yep im the same, i think if they could come up with a way of keeping the numbers down without all the charade of the redtails etc then it will be better

i can see your point and i do agree that it is indeed cruel, although if a chicken is born into a cage crammed with 5 other chickens then all its gonna know is what it lives through... it will not experience the trauma of being trapped because it will have never known freedom.

no they wont PROBABLY they WILL mutilate themselves and each other.

 

surely the fact that those chickens live through misery and pain ALL their lives makes battery farming cruelier than fox hunting. and your right it wont experiance the trauma of being trapped, it will experiance the trauma of spending its whole life in the dark, crammed into a space with other chickens that is so small it can move. it will experiance the trauma of having stand on other dead and dying chickens because it has nowhere else to go. it will experiance the trauma of being so compelled to perform instictive behaviour that it mutilates itself and those around it, including cannabilism.

 

compare this to the fox, who lives a wild and natural life which comes to an end in a natural way. there is nothing unnatural about the way a fox is killed in a hunt, its exactly the same way that a fox kills its prey. plus studies have proved that the fox doesnt actually experiance any stress untill the moment just before it is caught. this level of stress is no different to the levels of stress experiaced by any prey species. also, hunts very rarely catch a mature healthy fox, its normally the young or the old or the ill which have more chance of being picked off by another predator anyway. atleast in a hunt the foxes have the chance of getting away, theres not much getting away from a gun or poison or a snare theyre caught in. actually no sorry im wrong about that, some animals become so stressed in snares that they actually bite their own legs off and crawl off into nearby bushes to die.

 

so is fox hunting still cruelier than battery farming and other methods of killing foxes? or are you just talking about something you know nothing about?

Right so from ok poisoning & shooting are not really a good option say & all we have left is the dog catching them, maybe if it wasn't made into such a how shall I term it *toff, nosed, redtails & whatever sport* then maybe it would not seem as barbaric, but to see these people on horse back all done up to the nines, making a deal & a song & dance & clearly taking pleasure in it doesnt go down too well.

 

That I think is what makes it so sickening, well for me anyway

i agree with animals bein killed for the sole purpose of food as it is humane in which the way they are dealt with

 

i think it is awful how the dogs are virtually trained to go kill the foxes which are from there own breed of animals there fore if that type of hunting is allowed surely illegal dog fights should be legal and also ppl beating the living crap out of dogs with sticks or kittens and puppys being drowned cause the owners didnt want the responsibility. do u all feel sad at the adverts of abandoned dogs? poor animals left for dead on the tellie or do u all think let them die cos to me u either love animals or u dont give a flying fuck

 

and then we can go onto the aspect they are living and breathing and have feelings, how many of u have pets as wen u shout at them they look sad and cower away, or whine wen u leave the house?

 

and then we are jus living creatures too so if it is humane to rip a poor fox apart by 30 odd dogs with same amount of ppl watching in enjoyment then maybe men should be allowed to beat the living crap out of women and that be legal and the fact war is going on yes lets go and blow the fuck out of each other cause to me animals and humans are all living and breathing and there is only so much that should be tolerated

 

we all need food to live so yes food hunting is perfectly ok, in some countries they need animals skins for clothing and warmth and that is survivol too so yes agreeable as they dont have synthetics like some countries and for survivol and a need i totally agree as that is what is called the life cycle but for fun, it is heartless and seems u have 1 rule for 1 thing then fuck it lets all kill each other.
