Fox hunting ban - what are your views?

why should people stop shooing birds, they die straight away and is not cruel in any way

 

and like fox hunting, pheasant shooting as well as being eaten is a pest control issue.

 

their numbers have been controlled for years by shooting and hunting so it needs to continue

and if u want to shoot live targets but not something that is living there is clay pigeon shooting, but birds change direction in flight etc and are a far more challenging target, hence why people will continue to shoot them

population control is necessary is some more virilant species, but it should not be "fun". it should be done in the most humane way possible. unfortunately though people have now made this population control into sport over many years.

 

at the end of the day other sports could be considered cruel as well, what about fishing??? they get a big hook in the corner of their mouth and then are dragged about in the water using this, until they are realed in. thats not exactly humane is it?

 

i just think if they have banned fox hunting they need to look carefully at our other "sports" that involve killing animals. if ones banned, surely they should ban them all???
