I've just had some AMAZING news

At work today I was called to the office by my boss and told about a new management structure thats come down from head office. He also said that this was the first of 3 structured consultation periods that I'm gonna have within the next 30 days and if at the end of it, if I dont do a presentation and re-apply for my job...I WONT HAVE A JOB.

 

Every single assistant manager (thats not already a general manager or a deputy general manager) has to do the same thing. Its another "brilliant" idea from our new managing director.

 

I've been doing this job for nearly 12 years and have slogged my guts out and worked up to being a manager, NOW I'm being told I have to re-apply for the job and if I fail then I'll be made redundant. I did feel quietly confident about it until I read through the interviewing notes, now I'm basiclly shitting bricks

 

As you can probably guess, I'm NOT in the best of moods now coz I might have to find something else to do.

That's well shite, so many companies are doing this now (making you re-apply for your own job)

 

At least you have one up on most that work there, the ones that will apply for the position, knowledge of what works (managerial wise)

 

 

Go prepare your presentation and blow their minds away they'll have to keep you on

 

Or spread little rumours around about something that failed miserably in the past but say how ace it is and how it'll be the making of the company

 

And watch your back ... Tis a nasty world out there when it comes to promotion

Well use it as an opportunity to apply for a better job elsewhere thats what id do cos that companies going to get really nasty
