Advice on where togo - good hotels to stay - what nights to do what - do's and dont's as ive been told its quite dangerous

 

also anyone i know working out there for the season this yr

I wouldn't say it was dangerous hun, no more than any other place - i've been there loads and lived out there a coupla seasons too. You just gotta take as much care as you would anywhere else these days.

 

As for hotels, it depends on how much you wana spend and where you wana be staying as to suggestions.

 

Nights out there are constantly changing, i've heard a few clubs have been closed down now so i couldn't really say where to go as i don't know if they're still open or not as i didn't go last year.

well gonna go trapse round the travel agents saturday get some advice before we book -ideally wanna stay somewhere just outside of the main bit but within cheap taxi distance to the clubs but easy to relax during the day

 

my mate chrissy said it was really dangerous and theres a certain nationaloty group to avoid cos theyll knife you just for lookig at em the wrong way

 

regardless itll be ace i love summer and holidays

You probably wana look to stay in San Antonio Bay then, it's walking distance away from San An Town or a cheap bus/taxi if you don't wana walk. The beaches are also nicer there too.

 

As for looking at a certain nationality wrong, i've never heard that about ibiza inthe time i have been there to be honest.. and think it's a bit of a generalisation to say that if you look at a certain nationality in the wrong way, whilst in Ibiza, that they'll knife you

 

Just do the same as you do here, be wary of people and don't go on wanders alone late at night (although i never had problems doing this in the past, it's always advisable to stay as safe as possible these days) but not to the point that it ruins your holiday.. anybody could be some psycho ready to fuck you over but this is the same all over the world and you don't see loadsa people panicking about going on holiday, do you!!

 

There are a lot of black men around trying to sell their stuff ont he streets and usually drugs too but if you just be friendly but polite to them then they're generally very friendly back. Tell them you're a worker if they offer you something, they know workers can't afford stuff like that and so usually just let on in future etc.

Im stayin in san antonio this year, but have made sure its not too near the westend as you do get some arseholes nowadays.

If you can afford it Ibiza town is quite nice to stay in. A bit more cosmapolitan. Not many "joe bloggs" people stay there as there is quite a gay crowd there. There are some wikid bars and pre-parties too.

 

But if you are stayin in San An, my advice would be to shop around when it comes to eating out. You can find some ace places to eat for next to nothing if you look. If you are lazy and eat at the nearest place it can be quite expensive.We found a chineese place where you got a 3 course meal and a pint for roughly a fiver!!! As claire said, be polite to the black guys selling all the fake sunglasses, wallets etc etc. Ive had no trouble with them in the past, but have heard about cheeky people getting their heads kicked in and worse.

 

If you do one thing make sure and go to space at some point, its amazin! I think they are putting a roof over the terrace this year which is a shame.......but deffo check it out. Also for afterparty time, you MUST go to DC10 (I love that place) Big DJs just turn up and ask to play. Its a cool place for chillin or goin mental.

If you fancy a chilled day at the beach, head out of San Antonio as the beaches are shite. I cant remember the names of the beaches ive been to but will have a think and let you know. A cheap taxi up the road and you get a quieter more chilled beach.

 

If you're out on the piss, do go to the westend for a bit. We used to get up there quite early so it wasnt full of drunked twats who will grope anything in site (not that they would be groping me but you know what i mean) There are always free drinks galore. So you can get hammered in a few hours then fuck off to a decent bar in preparation for the club that night.

24th July for 7 nights. Its the week after charlenes birthday and is the best time for us to go. Was more expensive but was the only time I could get away from work.
