glad you like it and as i've said before i'm really getting into this sound, it's really caught my attention.

As Lisa says I the first track starts at 155 bpm and if anything think it might have crept up a little through the mix. music especially hard house, just seems to be getting crazy these day, can honestly see constantly it going past 160+ bpm soon...ha ha

I personally don't think the pace issue you mentioned applys to this demo as i've tried hard to build the cd in terms of music contents and energy.

I cant stand hardcore, but i prefer my hardhouse fast

 

its all because alot of hardhouse nowerdays is so minimal and shit it has to be played fast to sound like its got any kinda of momentum.

 

plus theres this whole "i can play harder than you" bollox and DJs forget that speed does NOT equal hard. its the toughness and momentum of the mixing that makes a set hard

I do like some hardcore (don't i) just don't love it. It's not music i'm passionate about. Really can't stand the hardcore with crappy vocals/lyrics in them, if its got a hard dirty feel to it tehn i like it.

i've got as far as track 8 (hostile) am not in car long enough 2 hear it all in 1 go.

 

 

i did though, get to work by the time track 3 had been mixed in

to be honnest mate, i found the 1st few tunes far too minimal. not to say i didnt like them mind (except track 3, which i thought was diabolical). just ment it took a while for the cd to get going. i must admit it took me 2 attampts to listen to the because of this (turned it off at about track 4 or 5 1st time round)

 

as per usual, the mixing was spot on - no suprises there. and i did like the tunes (bar the breakdowns lol), but some of the records you played felt like it was draggin on by the time the next record came on

 

this is just a preference rather than a critasisum tho. just felt quite slow moving despite the high bpm.

 

having said all that, i did enjoy the cd. there was even a couple of tracks that perked up my interest to buy - altho this was dashed when the breakdown kicked in. i'm far too picky about the hard stuff i buy these days

btw - tony, it might be worth you looked at the label 'dirtbomb'. its suposed to be a techno label, but all their releases are minimal hardhouse with a slight techno feel to it
