The search started back in January. DJs nationwide submited entrance mixes to participate in Emergence's first DJ competition, Turn. From the entrance mixes sixteen were chosen to participate in the heats. Another five DJs were then selected for an additional "open decks" heat.

 

These twenty-one DJs have been whittled down over the last five weeks. Just five remain in the competition. On Friday April 8th, they will battle it out in the final stage of Turn 2005. The winner will become an Emergence resident and take the title "Turn DJ of the Year 2005". Additionally, as our resident, they will represent Emergence with sets at Sundissential, Dropzone, Shaft, Afters, Shine, Clubbed Up Radio and Hard House UK Radio. The runner up will also get to play sets at Emergence and Shaft.

First 50 Free

This week we continue the "First 50 Free" promotion - the first 50 people through the door before 10pm will get in free of charge. We open the doors at 9pm, and party through 'til 2am. Drinks promos are also on offer all night for you to take advantage of.

 

If you come after 10pm, or aren't in the first 50 then door tax is still only £2.50 a head. This is the last opportunity for you to apply for free Emergence membership - simply fill in and hand back the forms available at the event. We've been giving away free membership during the course of the competition, but after Turn has finished, membership will cost £5 a time.

 

Emergence Re-Launch and Emergence of Hardcore Launch Parties

At the final, we'll be releasing full details of the re-launch of our monthly Emergence parties - catering for hard house, hard-nrg and hardstyle genres of hard dance. We'll also be releasing details for the launch of our new sister night, Emergence of Hardcore - the new hardcore dance event without MCs.
