im far more of a hardcore person, so i'm not that clued up on hardhouse.

If you like Hardcore I reckon you'd be more into Hardstyle more so then Hard House. A lot of Hardcore producers of old are making Hardstyle.

 

There is loads of difference. Like all genres Hardstyle has different styles. You get some really Trancey Hardstyle, Yoji Biomehanika, Scot Project etc. Then some of the more Gabba, Hardcore influnced stuff, everything, the kickdrums, the basslines are totally diffo to Hard House. Some of the British Hardstyle producers like Cally & Juice, Dark By Design & Organ Donors have their Hard House influnces.

 

Go listen to some Hardstyle. I'll find some examples and you can judge for yourself.

i find cally and juice a prime example of hardstyle, in fact the cd they mixed on the back of frantic euphoria is pretty much all hardstyle.

now, dark by design, these guys are technically hard trance believe it or not however you can fit in the tune by dark by design "Severe Punishment" would fit into a hardstyle set pretty easily.

i have on vinyl: Dark By Design "Sinister" it is on a vinyl titled hard trance ep 6.. that tune is def more hard trance than not.

the organ donors are also hard trance, how come u didnt know that???? they are so obviouosly hard trance....

This statement is 100% wrong. All of it. Have you ever heard Organ Donors & Dj Destiny - What's Up? That is Hardstyle, Organ Donors - 99.9, Hardstyle (with a Trance breakdown) again. Some of the Organ Donors material on Uberdruck label was very much Hardstyle. Altho mostly they are Hard Trance act yes I do know.

 

Cally & Juice are not at all a prime example of Hardstyle what-so-ever. They are a somewhat distorted UK view on Hardstyle, how can any djs who put in tunes like Veracocha - Carte Blanche (Technikal Remix) or the Horn Song (Luke Slator Remix) possible be a 'PRIME' example of Hardstyle. A prime example of Hardstyle are djs like Technoboy, Luna, Deepack, Zany... Go listen to them and revaluate exactly what you're saying you'll realise your talking crap.

 

Severe Punishment is not a good example of Hardstyle it fits better into a Hard House set then a Hardstyle set altho with it's big distorted off beat bassline it can be classed as Hardstyle to some muppets. The best example of a Dark By Design Hardstyle track is Avaline - Never Severe (Dark By Design vs Chris Tranzaction Rmx) so yes Dark by Design is Hard Trance with Hardstyle influences he has done Hardstyle tracks as he has done Hard Trance tracks go listen to his material he has done on Nukleuz black, Overdose and some of his Dutch colloabs. Hardstyle as fuck.

 

At the end of the day Hardstyle was born in Italy and pioneered by the Dutch if you don't understand those Italian/Dutch Hardstyle scenes you're in no place whatsoever to coment on Hardstyle, massive fact.

i knew that, i listened to lots of samples from an album tidy.com had called italian hardstyle. (must have been the new one i think, dunno how many could have possibly been released) and i can say i didnt really like it and all the tracks sounded the same except for a different common bass note than the previous track....

But I don't understand where you are coming from? I said Organ Donors have done Hardstyle tracks and they have, loads of them. So you're in the wrong. I know they have done Hard Trance but they are definitely not an entirely Hard Trance act whatsoever.
