im more looking at something to do from indoors  theres already betterware and avon round here and i dont want to tread on toes or drag shay out all weather to collect catalogues

Avon is a lot of indoor work too you know, plus it's coming into summer and it will be nice to have walks with Shay in the sun AND make some money too. Plus you have the bonus of having the internet so you can input all your orders online and not have to go and drop your orders off at designated place.

There may well be an avon near by but they always need new people and areas to be covered, isn't it worth even looking into? No cash outlay, no declaration of income and you get a discountr on stuff from them too and some freebies also.

Don't dismiss it without at least properly looking into it.. you're always so negative about ideas that people send your way when you ask advice and seem to have a negative answer for everything which makes me (and i'm sure a few others too) wonder if it's even worth us bothering to try and suggest anything.

I don't wana seem harsh but i can't help but think that you have a negative outlook on things and until that changes, i don't think your life will change much at all. To move on you need to be open to ideas and try things out.. i mean if avon doesnt work out for you then you haven't exactly lost anything have you!!

cant ask jobcenter as then they would no im working or gona be and will keep a close eye on my benefits so cant do that

I thought you could work 16 hours a week before it effected your benefit!

Yeah that's true, it doesn't stop you getting the benefit, but they deduct the money you earn from what you get so it doesn't work out as being any better financially usually.

i had to working 2 nights a week

minimum tax thing was years ago though i was 19

jus been speaking to louise on niteclubbers well she gave me some childcare links im thinking maybe get a job as she says working mothers get 70% childcare paid for but how do i find out if im better off as with rent and council tax and shit and having no qualifications could i afford to and be better off

Why not find a college with a creche (ones that do nursery nursing are usually grateful for the extra children to look after for the course) and do a course in word processing or something like that so that you can get a better paid office job, office hours (mon-fri 9 til 5) and you don't have the outlay of hairdressing equipment so you can still get the qualifications and therefore better pay without sacrificing anything really.

You'd get the course free as you're on benefits, creche would be free and on site and you'd get your qualifications without any outlay for equipment. Then once you're working and earning you could always do the hairdressing part time, a couple of hours a week if you still want to as you'd have the money for the equipment too. But bare in mind, hairdressing is less pay, more hours (well more inconvienient as you may have to work weekends) and harder work than working in an office.

They may put you on the next road then, but there will be vacancies.. people usually only have a couple of roads to cover so you wouldn't be treading on anyones toes hun, they know what they're doing when they assign people to certain rds. smile.gif

Ask them about open/flexi learning then.. they should have some courses like that on offer. Is there nobody that could look after shay for a couple of hours a week while you go to the college?

Or wait til October so you don't have to worry about childcare but it will mean you having to wait for the better money that a full time job would bring.

i dont have to look for full time work if in full time education and i do plan to wait till next year as wen children start pre school it gradually builds up from a few half days a week then everyday half day then full days and half days mixed till they are at full time school

and no i dont have any body i know in loughton so cant ask anyone to have shay for a few hours.
