how do u make pancakes? im desperate

ok ive been a slack mothewr fucker over the yrs and av only used batter mix and its cum out as shit as u could ever imagine.

 

 

now im well and truly in the shit cos both asda and tesco av sold out of batter mix.

 

resulting in the fact that my kids r the only kids in the wholw wide world whos mother doesnt know how to make pancakes and im stuck with flour,eggs and this stuff that smells like lemon.

 

 

please anyone save me from my kids going into school 2morrow and telling of their NO PANCAKE NIGHT!

 

ok....i need to know how many eggs? how much flour? and wat the fuck u do with it all.

The delia smith one works. Use a non stick pan. The first one will be a disaster, then they will be fine. Keep the heat up nice and hot. If you've only got semi skimmed milk, don't add water. Use 10flz oz milk.

If your still worried make slightly thicker ones, they taste just as good, and are easier to turn over.

erm well i hate to say it but I am.. qulified, and then Worked as a trainee chef at the Reform Club in Pall Mall, for three months & the Richmond Hill Hotel, for six months, then as a commis in France for 6 months. Left the profession, cos the pay is crap and the hours are appalling, and you have no social life outside of the hotel. But have never enjoyed a job so much in my life.

That's why Delia,a nd the other TV chefs are such a f**king disaster. They don't teach you how to cook, only how to follow recipies.

Cookery is about being taught what works with what, technique, and avoiding f*ck up's and recovering from them.

Not about following recipies to the letter.

well i enjoy my job too....being a nurse...but unlike u u lucky ###### u discovered how to make pancakes with ur qualifications. i only learnt how to change dressings. wat good is that tonight..

Making batter is one thing. Turning it into a succesful and edible pancake is quite another.

It's quite hard unless u have a proper crepe or nonstick pan.

Buy things for the company i work for...Not as intresting as cooking, and shopping, but it pays the rent, and is very fulfilling.

 

my dad was a charge nurse. RMN..retired now.
