Can I claim on MY house insurance for a £375 phone that's in my sons name which has legit been stolen from a work place?

If your son resides at your address then yes you can. You will need to have reported it to the police and get a crime ref number. If you dont have that file it as a loss claim and you will still be able to claim. As long as you have proof of ownership you should be fine

Whos you house insurance with and ill double check the policies for you but i dont see it being a problem we get loads of claims like that through

Got a crime number BUT

 

It wasn't him who'd took it work but he did live with me the day it happened ... It's through my mortgage my insurance ... underwritters at Lloyds ... if that makes any difference.

You should be ok to still claim as he was living there when it happened and Lloyds are fairly easy when it comes to accepting claims. Put the claim in if it gets refused it wont affect your policy anyway but they should cover that

I bet he had a curry that disagreed with him, fel a bit dodgy whilst sitting watching TV naked, stood up to get the remote control off the floor and whilst bending over, he must have pebbledashed his laptop.

 

Then, he must have turned round to see what happened, got sickened by the smell and sight and obviously thrown up on the laptop aswell.

 

Unless it is just a blatent fraudulent claim.
