Well we pay almost £400 a month for tony's railcard & the service is diabolical, endless track repairs etc, yesterday he got to the station & the train was delayed & then he had to change at Basingstoke, get on another train where he didn't get a bloody seat, now for that kind of cash each month you expect a damn seat eh

I was appauled at £14 from leicester to derby its only up the frigging road actually same distance as cannock to bham n only pay £2.80 for that how can they justify same distance more than 3 times the price

edinburgh to london euston - return - cost me little over £57

theres no way that your journey is £77 one way! sure its not in first class or anything????

that price is rediculous... id seek another journey service

Actually, I can complain when Lisa makes that valid point about paying so much for a rail card / Season card, and you don't get the service you are paying for. I remember James used to go through the same bother getting from home to London Bridge but more often than not, the service was diabolical (sp ?) although he did receive some compensation for it, which he didn't have to enquire about, they got in contact with him. I don't get free travel Miss Minx, just a Young Persons Rail Card, so get pretty much next to nothing Train Fare. Without it, I'd be paying a nifty fortune.

agree about service being appauling but you can get a complaints form if you get delayed trains, fill it in and send it with your tickets and you can get some compensation usually

You can get cash back, it is only a small amount & it is only if they want to give it too & as for complaint, what a fucking joke

Fair play when I'vwe had sh1t service with First Great Western, or had delays, the attendants on the train are always walking the lengths of the train giving out compensation forms. Last time I sent one off, I had £15 voucher for a 1Hour 30 minute delay ! FGW should be UK Spread !

Yeah same with me too as you know. When I come home from yours, I have to go the long way round, through Bassingstoke, then Reading, tc .. it's a painfull journey bur more painfull if you are ILL ! :@

Lisa, yeah i didnt think it would be the most successful just remeber someone saying before you can complain. The thing with large companies like that they know theyre depended on and can get away with giving bad service, its appauling but theres not a lot you can do about it as for a lot of people they dont have alternative travel options and the only way they would sort their act out is if it was causing a huge loss of business

Exactly, worse thing that ever happened was the privatisation of the rail service

 

But it shouldn't be allowed as I say we pay almost £400 a month & thats for one person & you think how many commute each month through their service, joke they are be raking it in
