Maria - one lives in north yorkshire so more or less out of the uk its such a mission to get there and others live in portsmouth - if i go for a week long break down there i class it as a holiday, whereas just visiting if for the weekend.

I know I know My family go to Devon / Cornwall for the weekend / week or two in the summer, and that's classed as a holiday. Any break from work / family life / away from both of these is classed as a holiday. No matter where it is.

I went on holiday up to Paulas the other week ... only stayed one night
