Anyone had dealings with the CSA?

They almost ruined our 7 year relationship and have meant that we haven't been able to get a place together.

 

Steve is the most loveliest father I know (apart from mine ) to his son and he didn't deserve all this.

I have a mate who's life is currently started to be made hell by them. He split with a girl several years ago, but through what she'd done to him he ended up in hospital after attempting to take his life.

 

He moved on from then, and didn't even think about her. She'd slept around a bit too. Then he got a letter the best part of a year ago from the CSA claiming he was the father of her child. This was complete news to him. The once that there was a possibility, she'd taken the morning after pill, apparantly.

 

He obviously denied everything, and heard nothing until a few weeks ago. Now they're demanding he have a blood test - at his cost! He can either pay now, or they'll pay it and he can pay them back at a higher cost.

 

If it is his child, she lied about the morning after pill and this has come as a complete shock. If it was a case involving the police and a criminal, it would be entrapment.

 

The fact is that she did sleep around, so it may not even be his (and as long as she took the morning after pill as she said, the chances are so slim of it being his). Thing is, she's in his past. She caused him a lot of stress and shit. For this now to come up has caused him a lot more shit in his head.

 

He doesn't earn much as it is, and 15% would hurt his pocket a lot - (if it is his) for a child he didn't know existed, has had nothing to do with and had been tricked to for it to exist. Then the 15% will be backdated for almost a year because that's when she first filed, and that's when they first contacted him - even though they've dragged it out this long.

 

I can only blame the bitch of a mother. I know that if she's claiming, she's forced to give details. All she had to say was that she'd had a one night stand though. The only reason in the world that she's named him is to cause him more shit. If it turns out not to be his, then it's even more callous.

 

I know I'm looking at this from the angle of my mate, but in her shoes I wouldn't have acted the same way.

if he keeps denying its his, he can get her to take him to court and they will rule a blood test at her cost if it isnt his kid and at his cost if it is...

 

i went through opposite i claimed unknown father for my childs safety and my own safety at a social workers advice which is under special circumstances and he wanted to see my son and the courts said he would have to pay for the tests and it mounted something like 600 quid and is a lot but that included court costs to force me into doing the dna testing and other costs that was involved in the case

in the end he didnt go through with it and hasnt persisted since

 

its shit yes but the way they will see it is if it is his kid he was lying about it and they wont look at circumstances just the fact they was together and had sex and he is now not supporting if it turns out to be his kid,,,,

 

he can seek legal advice on the matter though
