its cost me a small fortune this year doesnt help with the kids dads birthday being the same day & mums birthday the week after.

when is it - i havent remembered but i know what im getting in - he was gutted couldnt get tickets for Duran Duran the other week and theyre playing again in london ion december was gna get the tickets anyway as a treat but if i can label em a daddys day gift then all the better ;oP

i have bought my old boy the new england shirt

 

as its phils first fathers day i have done something really soppy but different & bought a bike in his name for a midwife in ethiopia so she can visit neighbouring villages, then iv bought him that yoda talking mug & a big yoda cuddly toy

 

for the kids dad i have bought him a card & nothing else.....prick

im sending my dad and step dad a card and then wen i go up in 2 weeks im getting a wedding photo of the family enlarged and framed for him as it has me, my sister, my 2 step sisters and my 3 sons with my dad and step mum in picture

everyone he loves

not expensive but its the thought that counts and i also bought him a dvd box set wen last there that i labeled dads day early pressie as he wanted it and i thought mums day was dads day, i got mixed up

I dont believe in fathers day. Just another "celebratory day" made up by an ailing card company years ago to boost sales.

 

I never expect anything off my son and my dad never expects anything off me. Why should we make that extra bit of effort once a year to show our parents we appreciate them when it should be an all year round thing.

My mum & dad get back from there South African Safari this saturday ... probably be slippers again thats all he ever wants
