was out cutting the hedge and had the music on i inside the house. teatime the suns out, other ppl are having bbq`s, laughing and screaming and what eva normal`s do. i turned the tunes up a tad, and i have police round, WTF. had complaints about the music being too loud, neighbours piss me rite off. im detached too, i was so mad i was shaking with temper.

Dani, that law applies to sound systems over a certain size. Ie illegal parties / raves.

 

I dont think paulas stereo kicks out as much noise. All the police can do is ask you to turn it down if they deem your music to be too loud and too late at night. If you continually "offend" in the same manner you can have an ASBO issued and you can be prosecuted

thats not true, any noise at any time of day from dogs barking to argueing to music is classed as a nusance when a neighbour can hear it.......i know, im in the process of getting a neighbours nusance music sorted out, & i can call the councils noise violation line at any time of the day or night!

 

at the moment its making my life hell (and the kids as theres is the nearest room to her flat) as she cant just have it on at normal levels, it has to be full on jungle/reggae bullshit with all her windows open till late evening

police were spot on, told me too go inside and put frank sinatra on a lil louder and they would get no complaints

police said it wasnt even on at a deafenin volume. one off them showed me a easier way too cut my hedge
