What do YOU believe happens when you die.

This type of question has been on my mind ALOT lately, sinse the passing of my Mums sister a few days ago. I have just been on lunch with a colleague and tried to tell him my thoughts but It was too difficult to express and pick the right words.

 

What do you think about the subject and are you afraid of dieing ? I don't think I am afraid, but I am (I think) a bit weary of what happens after (I was just about to attempt to explain what I think - but it's no use, I know what I'm on about but I can't explain it )

i think your spirit is eternal & as one person dies another life form is given life be that a person , dog , ant .

If you have been good as a human you come back as something better (who says we are the top).

 

life as a breathing animal has an end but does the spirit inside you ?

If we're talking about the spirit though, I do 'kind of' believe in re-incarnation but only in very rare cases. I dont believe this crap that everyone believes they were someone famous or had relevance in history somehow.

 

I also believe in ghosts as I have seen 3 in my life, and theres NO other way they could be explained away.

i do believe in spirits but i also believe in reincarnation since watching the this morning experiments where she hypnotised ppl and went back in time

One you die you die, I can't conceive that anything exists post death, and because of that I have no fear of dying at all.

I dont have any strong beliefs but if i had to have a theory it would be that you as yourself dies however your energy and your soul moves on into a different being. As in if you die your soul becomes that of a new baby being born. I dont believe that you change species though, i think humans come back as other humans, cats as cats etc etc

 

However i hope that if i do come back its as a big fluffy spoilt brat house cat ;o)

Dont think anything happens... I believe what science tells us, that our 'souls' are just electrical impulses in our brains - if we were resurrected/reincarnated as another person/species then technically you wouldnt ever actually die anyway and as far as I can work out, an eternal life cycle would be the greatest form of hell

I don't actually think anything happens, but I would like to think it we went on to a higher plain, be nice eh.. But I guess we just either become a piece of ash if cremated or as Ginge says *Wormfood*

we were just talking about this last week. i believe in life after death, but cant explain how, who or where. i do think we go onto better tho. i so want too go too a spiritualist, but im scared too. would it answer some off my quiestions or would i be back too square one and in a mess?

Yeh I used to go every sunday evening Paula & thinking back some of the stuff the medium told my friends mum, one night was really spooky & stuff no-one else knew..

And another thing, why the hell aren't card readers, spiritualists, etc in control of the world or very rich or solving terrorism, etc... Instead of living in small houses offering vague prophecies to vunerable people. If I had the amazing talent of reading more than what people are saying, how they move and react to certain things. You know, like I could turn around to you and tell you the name of your best friend and where they lived when you were seven without having met you before, I'd be off winning the lottery and have bought the moon by now, rather than telling people vague prophecies.
