** DJGRH – CHART AND LATEST NEWS FOR AUGUST / SEPTEMBER 2005 **

 

Hello once again!

 

Summer’s been a busy, busy time of late with many gigs around the UK and lots of marketing responsibilities – as well as some serious Summer drinking sessions! Lol!

 

As is usual with me, I cannot limit myself to a top 10 or 20 and, therefore, opt more for a huge ‘tracklist’ of stuff that’s continually rocking my boat and the dancefloors in front of me!

LATEST NEWS

 

Many, many thanks to those making continuous, regular bookings. Things are as hectic as ever in the last couple of weeks. Here’s my latest of what’s happened / what’s to happen over the next few months :

 

- Good, local gigs such as : Savaged (York), Housewives Choice (Leeds), Housework (Leeds), Glasshouse (Leeds), Protocol (Manchester), Oh My God (Doncaster) and the like, have justled for diary space alongside gigs around the UK : Absolution (Norwich), Infected (Bath), Freeze (London), Squelcher vs Guilt (London) etc.

 

- As it stands at the moment, I have only a few dates remaining for the rest of 2005, with at least one (more often than not, two or sometimes three or four) gig(s) a week. The regular bookings above are joined by bookings from most of the UK’s biggest hard dance brands. For example, on the back of being thrown onto the line-up for Tidy Apres Ski Alternative, I have been booked to play at Tidy Weekender 8 again and also have more Tidy related work to follow (which must remain tight-lipped at this stage)! Also on this note, there’s the recent appearances for the likes of Sundissential North and Gatecrasher’s huge return to Leeds at Evolution back in May, that was followed by my appearance at the huge Leeds Love Parade at Lotherton Hall in Leeds where I played back to back with my old buddy Sam Townend. Forthcoming dates are also back on the way from the likes of Frantic, Storm, and many, many more.

 

- At the time of writing, I have now co-produced something in the region of 13 tracks with everyone from Paul Maddox to Chrysus , from Christiaan to Chris Hoff . There's the likes of 'New York, New York' that sold by the bucket-load, went onto MTV Dance and numerous compilations; and then there's the likes of ' Borderline ', 'Inside The Sound' , ' Heatwave' and 'Mind Games' that have all been signed onto labels such as Neonate and Fevah USA . Just of late, I've completed new tracks with the likes of Paul Maddox (a highly energised, vocoded, electro-pumped groover called 'Live For The Danger’), Chrysus (a chilling, pumping and downright bizarre (but immensely popular) affair entitled ‘Remorse) and Chris Impact (a hard, grinding and moody freestyle vocal led cut). I'm scheduled to finish material with the likes of Lee Pasch in the near future. Big thanks to Billy Daniel Bunter for the inclusion of 'Illusion’ (track with MDA & Spherical) on his 'Hard Dance to Hardcore Acceleration’ recent mixed album.

 

- Despite intense nerves, I’m happy to report that my live vocal as a part of ‘Paul Maddox LIVE’ went very well indeed. A new version of New York, New York was thrashed out to a pumped up crowd, to be closely followed by new track ‘Live For The Danger’ and ‘Detour’. The whole thing was recorded live, coupled up the excellent CD’s from The Tidy Boys and Rob Tissera and is available on Tidy.Com or from HMV or HMV.Com where it climbed to a good height in their compilations chart!

 

- After a successful stint of gigs playing in California some time ago , I'm thrilled to be given the recent news that my return will now, more than likely, be very early into 2006. Fevah USA want me out there on the back of the success of the release of both 'Borderline and 'Inside The Sound’ that were signed instantly by Fevah USA to be sold as MP3 downloads on Beatport.com

 

- My close working relationship with the hard-working team at 4clubbers.net in forming a new subsidiary to their operation, notably ' 4CPR' (which, as the name suggests, is predominantly on a public relations and overall marketing communications basis) continues to flourish.
