know any good cures for clearing up bruises?

cut the skin over the bruise.

 

thats what some people did when i was in high school. E.G my mate gogzy hit his head just above the eye (i dunno if he got hit by sum1 or hurt himself in a mushied state) but it didnt break the skin or anything and he didnt want a black eye so he cut the skin and it bled. but he didnt have a bruise.

 

bruising being blood under the skin, if it gets out then there wont be a bruise, just a small cut

I meant for making them fade quicker. You know u get the old wives tale type things like toothpaste clears up spots and white vinegar for getting stains out - just wondered if there was one for bruises

Ice would be the best bet, the skins natural defense would retract the blood away from the the lower temperature and try to keep it warm. Only prob with that is, depending where the bruise is, you might be left with a wet patch.
