UP^^ – Ministry of Sound – October 8th, 2005

 

As the summer draws to a close and we get down to the really serious business of clubbing, UP^^ returns to the Ministry of Sound on Saturday, October 8th for another night of hands-in-the-air funky mayhem and hedonistic excess. What’s more, the next instalment of nastydirtysexmusic is the same night so it looks like a match made in heaven.

 

There’s just no stopping UP^^ as our infectious brand of fiercely funky house continues to take the capital by storm. Following our recent successful debut at Turnmills where the UP^^ young guns took the City Loud party by the scruff of its neck and made it rock, we return to the Saturday Sessions at the Ministry of Sound for another session in the Baby Box, a space we have made our own over the last 12 months. It’ll also be the perfect opportunity to introduce our new residents Ben Dela-peña and Brad 212 Finlay to the UP^^ faithful. Trust us, these are two of the hottest young properties on the London house scene and you’re going to be hearing a lot more from them as time goes on.

 

As well as having a loyal and dedicated following who just love to party, UP^^ select only the finest young DJ talent who deliver the goods each and every time. On October 8th Ben and Brad will be joined by some more young guns itching for the chance to show us what they can do. Spinning the tunes that matter will be:-

 

• Ben Dela-peña – tough and rough, bumpy and crunchy, Ben plays only the very best

• Brad 212 Finlay – quality jackin’ house and New York style grooves second to none

• Richard Launch – he’ll be rounding the night off with his trademark dirty house sound

• Tom Allan – another one-to-watch from the Kurruption crew and resident at Sundazed

• OpaqueJake – resident with becomeone and purveyor of the finest deep house

 

All the DJs have been handpicked for their ability to bring fresh and exciting house grooves to the party as well as their skills at rockin’ the dancefloor. You won’t hear any cheesy anthems at UP^^ or records you’ve heard a hundred times before; instead it’ll be the kind of fresh and innovative music that marks UP^^ out as the brightest new house night in London.

 

From the sensuous and lush deep house of OpaqueJake through to Ben and Brad with the very best in upfront ass-shakin’ action and Tom Allan and Richard Launch who’ll be rounding the night off with a bang, this will be quality music from start to finish with a packed dancefloor guaranteed. That’s not all, of course…

 

With nastydirtysexmusic holding court in the main room one hell of a night is on the cards. It’ll be their Ibiza reunion party too and after a summer of roadblocked parties at Space, Smokin’ Jo and Tim Sheridan will be returning to the Ministry of Sound for another of their speaker-shakin’ sessions of electro-funk, tech-edged beats and filthy house. It’s going to be proper, as they say.

 

Support comes from highly-rated producer Radio Slave, while over in the bar it gets even better and the connoisseurs among you are in for a treat with resident Marc Hughes joined by the legend that is Robert Owens and Stuart Patterson of Faith and Soulsonic fame, plus Basil on live percussion.

 

There’s no finer place to party than the Ministry of Sound, of course, as the UP^^ regulars know only too well, so dress up to get down, slip on your dancing shoes and look your finest as UP^^ prepare to deliver you a night to remember to a soundtrack of the most UP^^lifting fiercely funky house anthems around… join us and let’s get nasty!
