U-MUVE press release November 2005

Now into it’s fourth month, U-MUVE is going from strength to strength at the new home of house at Moods, Derby. Having presented the hottest established players in dance music including Lenny Fontana, MYNC Project and Jon Carter, now is the time to showcase the future stars of the scene.

The 5th kicks the month of with a bonfire night residents party, with Scott Lorimer, Andy McAllister, Mark Williams and Dave James. These four friends are the core of U-MUVE, and if you have been before you’ll know that they certainly know how to rock the floor at the club. This is a rare opportunity to see all four residents play together in the main room, showcasing their individual styles and trying to out do each other! Andy will be celebrating the forthcoming release of his remix of Fresh 27’s Point of View on Velvet Disco, so look out for some exclusive fresh breaks, as well as his new remix of Kid Massive’s future smash Without You. Scott and Andy are some very special house re-edits of some of their favourite tracks for this night.

On the 12th, we present Kinky U, with DJs Andi Rhodes (Progress), Nick Summers (Passion) and Dean H (Kinky U). Fresh from a sellout 3000 crowd at Wildchild’s last event at SE1 in London these guys are currently rocking the South with up and coming gigs at Ministry, Pacha, Wildchild, Frantic and Turnmills. Check out more on these guys at www.kinky-u.com. These guys will provide us with a full musical spectrum from funky vocal house through breaks to filthy tech.

The 19th sees the Sundifunkerz hit U-MUVE for the second time after the outstanding success of their last visit. Expect the funkiest dirtiest house grooves around from Lee Meekin and Miller. They impressed us all so much last time they were with us in room 2, we’ve asked them back to show us what they’ve got in a main room set. Watch out for the pair’s shenanigans as Miller turned up last time to DJ in an Ann Summers nurse’s outfit!!

To finish the month we have Derby’s own SP Project on the 26th. These guys have been building a buzz with their consistent outstanding DJ sets, as well as their productions. Scott Thompson and Peacey have been DJing in Derby for more than 7 years, when they first hooked up with U-MUVE resident Scott Lorimer, and will certainly not fail to impress. Supporting the SP boys is Derby’s infamous Irish DJ Ciaran who will be celebrating his birthday in style with his first ever main room set.

We’d like to thank everyone for their support of the night so far, without you we wouldn’t have a night. We’d like to welcome your feedback and opinions, please join us on the U-MUVE forum at www.u-muve.com.

Peace, love and respect,

The U-MUVE team
