I think its coz no-ones cleaned the carpet for a while and its making everyones shoes stick to the floor.

CTW is no longer what it was. As in there arent any meets, there isnt anybody out often promoting the site and recruiting new members. Thats what made CTW what it was. I for one am not in a position to help out in anyway really due to work commitments getting greater by the day.

Alo of the key members that have been involved for such a long time seemed to have moved on in one way or another and there hasnt been any nu-blood coming through to carry it on.

As Liam states we all have many more commitments now than we used to and many people have moved on.

 

In 2002, when CTW was set up, clubbing message boards and MSN were still really new and exiciting, I for one couldnt stay off MSN or posting new threads - sometimes on for 4 hours every school night. Now I tend to use the net much less and for informational purposes only. I think most people fall into the same category - people want to get out and meet real people again.

 

CTW will always be around for the next meet - as and when that is - I for one still want to get to these events in Holland for example. The concept has proven itself to work and can work again, but its not going to come from just me or the moderators or the key promotors of the site - its about a collection of people wanting to meet up and do things.

 

The membership has a constant churn rate - as all sites do - I expect at some point that new people will discover the site, post a message, and meet up somewhere. If not it's not a problem - still nice to have the memories in the old galleries ?

 

At the moment we're concentrating on content again and giving people more of a reason to visit the site, however there are tons of clubbing sites out there now so it's nothing new.

 

CTW has always been about helping people out and not becoming some kind of revenue builder. All the banners, promotional material/news & DJ profiles are put up for free. The CTW DJs were also played out for free, and mixes are put up for free.

 

I personally still have a strong passion for clubbing & music and will probably be back out on the scene in the coming months, as I expect others will, especially as its coming up to christmas & new year

 

Approx. 40 members still login each day + 100 guests, so it's not entirely dead.

some ppl can passionate about things they beleive in as i see liam was first to get passionate about ctw and in a way i am still highly passionate about it as it was my 1st site and all the ppl became great mates

i miss the old ppl and the old ctw but old times change and so i say here here for a future

like james said, when i started coming on here i was addicted, i could have spent all day every day on here so i didn't miss anything!

 

but i have grown up a bit and i don't have much time to spend on the net anymore, i think the same has happened to most people
