Probably should be shoved into another section somewhere else, but heynannyfuckinnohahahaaaaaaaaaaaaeeee, eh?! baz.gif

So here goes; Simple question really (just wish the answer were so blatantly obvious to me)...

Anybody got any know - how of being able to record a cassette tape to a PC (and preferably saved in a well - recognised/renowned music cd playerable - yes, it is a word, honest - type format t'boot...), which can they be burnt onto a CD, and be played as a fully - working, normal styleeeee music CD? uhm.gif

I guess if anybody even has a scooby as to what i'm muntering on about, then that'll be a start, eh blahblah.gif

But as usual, any help received - muchos appreciado! thumbsup.gif

Cheers!

aye,

thats what i used to do u see!!

i recorded my mix onto tape first and had a listen over see if it was good, then u rewind it back (for obvious reasons)

then u disconnect your mixer, and take it plus a wee ghetto blaster hi fi with tape inside to your PC.

(u need 2 wires that have the red&white audio plugs at one end and a single plug at the other end)

one goes in the headphone socket on the tape player, leading to the mixer, and then the other wire is in the audio out sockets of your mixer, plugged in to the audio in at the back of the PC.

thats the first bit.

u then need a recording program which u may already have, i use the simple free Gwave which is fairly decent.

then hit play on the tape, and click record on the pc and then just wait it out til its finished. save it as an mp3, burn it to a CD and thats you!

(if you wanna know how to seperate the mix into seperate tracks you gonna have to ask shaney because he knows and i dont! tongue.gif )

hope that helps and makes sense!
