GOODGREEF RETURNS FOR 2006 WITH ANOTHER MANCHESTER ACADEMY SPECTACULAR!

 

After the holiday season has passed leaving us with a month where we are all forced to go clubbing cold turkey on Saturday 28th January Goodgreef returns with another massive event at Academy 1 in Manchester. One of the premier gig venues in the country it will once again undergo a spectacular full club transformation as we go XTRA HARD to help start 2006 with a bang!

 

Top of the bill are the kings of hard dance, the Tidy Boys. Having gained the crown through an irrepressible desire to keep the fun and funk in the music their sets are crowd pleasers from start to finish! Especially for this event we will also be flying over one of Europe’s hard trance and hardstyle aristocracy, Lady Dana, for a rare UK visit where she will bestow on us some of the finest audio offerings from the continent.

 

The night will also feature THREE huge showcase spectaculars, demonstrating some of the most exhilarating sounds emerging in hard dance. First of these is a northwest debut by the NU Energy Collective (featuring Kev Energy, Sharkey, K-Complex and AMS). Performing live on stage this foursome’s combined aural foreplay has so far rarely been experienced outside London (where they have been regularly ripping the roof off Frantic) and they will simultaneously assault your senses with decks, effects, scratching and a whole lot more!

 

The second showcase features two of the northwest’s favourite turntable mentalists – the legendary Mark EG and our own leading light, Alex Kidd. Both are renown for not only putting the Hard in hard trance but also for innovating by using tech-trance, techno and hardstyle as ingredients in their sets, making this head-to-head one to savour. Our final showcase is a duo whose releases on big hitting labels like Tidy, Nukleuz and Frantic are both eclectic and electric. The Organ Donors will be making their Goodgreef debut with their “Dex N Fx” show, blasting out their own tunes and cheeky remixes to demonstrate why are they are one the hottest hard dance pairings on the scene.
