What the fuck is going on?

How quiet is it in this forum. What the hall has happened. I haven't been on here for a good few weeks and have just had a butchers on Bangintunes re some vinyl i wanted.

 

I mean, look at the posts. The last topic i started has got 4 posts in it and it's 4 days old.

 

We need to sort it out, big time.

I've got afew idea's to get people onto this site and i think your right about the handout cards and photo's. Look at DSI. People only really go on there to look at a photo that's been taken of them, then they get into the live chat and forums.

 

Unfortunately i won't be able to promote the site at events as i've retired from clubbing!!!!

Agreed, the main problem we have now is that fact that no one is taking any pics for the site - it was the pics which first attracted the vast majority of the members.

 

The problem is finding people who want to take pics and/or add content, and people who will stick at it.

 

I'm currently focusing on the content side (excluding photos) and giving all promotors a login to add content themselves - hopefully then giving people more of a reason to visit the site. What we are really lacking are up to date galleries. We cant be reliant on just a few people, as you say jim, what we need is an 'army' of people.

 

What i'm working towards is having the site extendable by anyone and if people want a new function or section up we can do that. Effectively everyone should run/own the site. I can put up stuff but i cant make people use it.

what about that one u sent me with all the rest of them flyers? that ctw card is fine! u just need a printers to print off a whole bunch n all u need to do really is have a trip round all the HMV's and virgin megastores and any other record stores you know about and leave a pile next to the turntables

Partly because of work but mainly beacuse i'm just not feeling it any more. I think since Sarah went, everytime I've been clubbing i've absolutely caned it and It's taken me nearly a week to get over the comedown.

 

I absolutely love the music and seriously love trying to mix, (all the free gear but no idea)!! but it's hard to explain. It's almost like everytime i've been in the last year i've put my body and mind through that much trauma that now when i look at pictures of clubbing or think about going clubbing i get a really nervous feeling in my stomach, It's a bit like that feeling when your going to have to do something you really don't like doing (dentist or flying for some people). Now something is telling me that ain't right, and something has got to give.

 

I've been clubbing for 16 years now and it's come to that time when i should hang up my glowsticks and call it a day.

 

The good thing about retirement is that you can always make a big comeback if the mood takes you............... Who knows.

im similar goshow not enjoyed hard stuff in a while more into funky house or funk bands and rock and indie

 

as for cards i still have a load and ive offered to help in anyway possible with the site now im online all the time and check in almost everyday here

 

dont think ive ever gone a fday without checking in it has been my home for 4 years almost

That's a bit contradictive and selfish, isn't it ? It should work both ways if you want to 'make it'.

I didn't say you did ? Although I think it was to Minx when she popped on the other day (might not have been Minx, although I'm sure it was), saying that advertising other sites on this site is 'forbidden' and written in the rules. End of the day, if you want the site promoted, then you have to share it with the WWW, it is that simple, which is EXACTLY WHY and HOW Forums have Members = Advertising. You cannot stop it, and Advertising, is how certain things grow from. Tit for tat, and all that.
