March Of The Penguins !

WOW ! Well, over the last 6-12 months, I've become roped into the relms of the Artic and Antarctica, although more in the Antarctica world. I was never an individual that was well into Nature Documentaries and Films. I've been watching alot of the David Attenborough Documentaries these last few months, and I've recently watched 'Life In The Freezer' (BBC Series), Narrated by David Attenborough, which I was literally gobsmacked by. I never thought a Film would be producted about Antarctica's Life and History, so I was bouncing off the walls when I had heard that this Film was out in the Cinema ! I have literally finished watching it about 20 minutes ago, and I thought this Film was absolutely Phenominal ! A friend of mine had previously told me the film wasn't bad, but was also nothing to write home about, none the less, I had to see it for myself due to my high interest in Antartica and it's living.

 

I was completely overwhelemed by it. I've watched it all on Documentaries, but when it's pieced together in a film, and based around the conept of living and survival, it truely did stir some magic inside of me. It had me sharing a few tears in some scenes, some rage in other scenes (where you see preditors taking beautiful life such as the Leopard Seals), and other scenes I was in complete 'Aww'. The reason why I think this Production is so so special, is because there is not one lie told in this film. It's not fiction, it is REAL and all FACT. I would say this film will most deffinitley touch the hearts of those like myself, who have a huge interest in Antarctica, and the life that lives on it. Morgan Freeman (if not David Attenborough) was deffinitley the right Narrator that they chose for this film. He is one of my favourite Actors, and his tone made the viewing even more special than what it already was.

 

Please take the time to watch this, as I don't think there are enough people in this world who are interested in the unknown and other forms of life who fight for survival and the bringing new life to keep the species alive, in this world. It's absolutely FAB !

It is wicked. But to be honest, you have to be well into this sort of stuff to appreciate what you are watching.

You seen Life In The Freezer ?!!?!?!11111 hoe fecking good is it (unless you're a lieing little kent). In that case, you should deffinitly think of getting March Of The Penguins on DVD when it comes out. It truely is an eye opener.

 

I'm going to the Antarctica next December ! I am booking it as soon as August is over and done with (meaning Thailand for November will all be paid off). It's costing me £3.5k (that is not a brag about the price there, that's just to say that such a place like that, where not many people are interested in, is so special to be witnessed), but it is SO worth it !!! Think of the god damn pictires I am going to come back with. I truely, truely cannot wait, I'm in fact looking forward to spending 2 weeks in the Antarctica Peninsula MORE than I am going to Thailand and Singapore (don't get me wrong, Thailand is such an experience to endure, but who says the North and South Pole are to be there forever ? They wont be. The South Pole Glaciers are already melting MUCH more than they were 5 years ago )!

Yep, it's all in. Get to walk across the Frozen Ocean, then tour through some of the Ocean on a Ship, see baby pengions being born, see Hum Back Whales, Killer Whales, loads. I'm booking with these guys Discover the World.. They seem the right people to go with, I've had a few chats with one of their Operators who guided me through booking (when I do) the right type of 'treck'. :D

To be honest Shaney, my dad loves all this stuff, too, but I was quite suprised when he declined and said 'It's will be too cold for me'.

 

Erm, come on like, being in sub zero tempertaures will be THE BEST PART ! You most certainly wont be experiencing -20 here in the UK.
