CTW Members Dirty Sugar Daddy Posted February 17, 2006 CTW Members Share Posted February 17, 2006 With Robert Owens on tour duty with Coldcut this month, another Chicago legend steps into the breach. One of the original innovators in house music, MARSHALL JEFFERSON is rightly labelled one of the Godfathers of House. Alongside Marshall, a London favourite, JEREMY NEWALL, whose sets are a journey through US house, an extensive disco collection and the latest hot white labels. Upstairs, JAMES PRIESTLEY (secretsundaze) is joined by PETE HERBERT (Reverso 68) and SASOTO (Hear No Evil). James Priestley is best known as the co-promoter and resident of the infamous hedonism that is secretsundaze. His unique sets mix up cutting-edge electronic House with Nu-Wave Acid-Disco and Electro. Pete Herbert, one half of production outfit Reverso 68 (Eskimo Recordings), is guaranteed to get the floor moving with his brand of balearic house and disco. Sasoto (Hear No Evil) completes the trio - look out for his latest release on Hear No Evil (HNE003), which he describes as "clunky basement sounds on a detroit tip". Pre-party at Canal 125, 125 Caledonian Road, hosted by PHAT GECKO (Hear No Evil) - 3-floored bar, just a short walk from Kings Cross tube and a free bus service will take people up to Egg. CTW Members deepsoulgroove Posted February 17, 2006 CTW Members Share Posted February 17, 2006 That looks wicked. I last saw marshall jefferson about 3 years ago in London and he rocked the place. Seriously deep and kept the floor interested. has anyone heard him play out recently? In any case he did the legendary 'Mushrooms' on Airtight, which is killer deep. James Priestly - good for a slightly tougher vibe - heard him around. April though - MR FINGERS reunion! For Real!!
