Having well and truly settled into Freedom with our feet now firmly under the table, its almost time for the next instalment of London’s most popular Thursday night FREE Trance Party. The last party on Feb 16th was absolutely fantastic and with your support we’re going from strength to strength. For this weeks event we’ve got a solid blend of Addiction favourites and debut’s offering you the best in Uplifting, Tech and UK Hard Trance. So without any further delay, please read on to find out who’s playing this week and why !

 

Dan Bower 6pm til 7pm

 

Dan first came to our attention following his awesome set on the now legendary HeatUK ‘Voyage’ Boat Cruise, where he opened the proceedings with his own very unique style of floaty / uplifting trance. Having previously got to the final stages of HeatUK’s DJ Competition and having also recently played at Turnmills for Friendz, one of London’s biggest smaller parties, we’re very excited about his Addiction debut and can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us. Get down early and check this young man in action as he comes highly recommended.

 

Greg Blaquiere 7pm til 8pm

 

After hearing Greg’s recent demo CD which we were sent with over 100 other entries for our recent ‘In Search of Trance’ DJ Competition, we knew that we had to invite Greg down to play. His armoury consists of the very best in uplifting and tech trance, and its backed up by flawless mixing with an obvious knowledge of progression. Also still fresh from last weekends Southside Bar shenanigans’ at One, we just know he’s going to rock the floor.

 

James Terry 8pm til 9pm

 

We originally discovered James back in September 2004 when we held our 1st ever DJ Competition. Since then James has featured at many an Addiction Thursday party and also our event’s at SE1’s Deep Blue, and Ibiza 2005. Again Fusing Uplifting Trance/Techno and tech trance resulting in a devastating mix of emotion and down right dirty grooves this young man is quite simply not to be missed !

 

Micky D AKA Chrysus 9pm til 10pm

 

At the tender age of only 19 Michael Dow, AKA Micky D, AKA Chrysus is definitely the one to watch in 2006 ! With a discography longer than Dirk Digglers **** and releases signed to some the scene’s leading labels including his forthcoming EP due out on Addiction Digital in April (scoring 4/5 in Aprils iDJ Magazine) its no wonder that he’s currently in the midst of negotiations over a publishing contract with the UK’s leading Hard Dance record label. Micky played his debut DJ set for Addiction @ Copyright in October last year and having recently engineered Lee Haslam’s massive anthem ‘The Future’ (forthcoming on Monster Tunes) and fresh from rocking the Balcony Bar at Frantic’s Hard House Academy this weekend gone by for Oblivion, we can’t wait to have him back to play for us for the 2nd time.

 

Trevor McLachlan 10pm til 11pm

 

Ever since he played at our 2nd ever event in September 2004, Trevor has been a regular fixture in our line ups. DJ / Promoter / Producer and also one of the nicest guys on the scene, Trevor has successfully risen his profile of late by having been appointed Twisted resident, and also for producing some fabulous tracks, most notably ‘The Voice’ which is shortly to be released on Impact Recordings. With his own unique pallet of highly euphoric Hard Trance consisting of his own productions and some of the hottest tracks around at the minute make sure you’re right down the front for this set !

 

Ashley James 11pm til 12am

 

Last but by no means least, the original Addiction resident Ashley James will be stepping up to finish the night off on a harder tip. Ashley has been locked in his studio for the last 6 months and has dedicated so much time to his production he’s hardly seen the light of day. Now working with HeatUK resident Marc French under the guise Digital Injury, and with his debut track / release ’Haunted’ already out NOW on Addiction Digital we’re expecting big things in 2006 from this young man.

 

Remember this is a FREE event, so if you haven’t sampled Addiction yet, make this your first fix !

From Piccadilly Circus (Bakerloo or Piccadilly Line) simply walk up Shaftsbury Avenue, and after a short walk turn into Wardour Street which is on your left. Freedom is a short walk down on your right hand side.
