CRASHER @ GATECRASHER ONE, SHEFFIELD – 16.4.06

Tomorrow’s trance is back on the agenda on at Gatecrasher One on the biggest bank holiday of the year. Easter Sunday 16th April 2006.

‘Crasher is back. Judge Jules (Radio 1 / original Gatecrasher resident), Marco V ( new track ‘False Light’ headed onto daytime radio play lists around the world (including Radio1)), Matt Hardwick (nominated for ‘Best Essential Mix 2005’ by Radio 1), Andy Moor (Anunjabeats, Baroque, Sunkissed, Armind production), Guy Ornadel (Ornadel Management, Ministry Of Sound Radio), Riley & Durrant (Galaxy FM / Distorted DJ’s) and Will Holland (Gatecrasher / Enhanced Recordings) all take their place on one of the strongest line ups to date (even by Gatecrasher’s standards) to bring trance back to the humble surroundings of Gatecrasher One in Sheffield.

The April Bank Holiday has always been of legendary status for Gatecrasher – the club has delighted up to 15,000 clubbers in previous times with head-turning events such as the NEC. This year, just 1600 lucky clubbers will get to party all the way through this much anticipated Bank Holiday Sunday, back in Sheffield. There really is no place like home.

Gatecrasher’s focus upon a lot of different forms of dance music of late, together with their highly successful classics events have maintained the club’s popularity and diversified it to different audiences. However, now for the first time in 2 years, tomorrow’s trance is back on the agenda for Bank Holidays at Gatecrasher One.

As is usual and to be expected with all Gatecrasher events of this nature, demand will be extraordinarily high, with early bird tickets already selling fast – anyone wishing to attend should obtain tickets as soon as they possibly can to avoid disappointment.

Times are hard working, but rewarding for JUDGE JULES. As if hosting one of Radio 1’s most prominent shows isn’t enough, his gig diary sees him working tirelessly not only in the UK but around the globe. Take a look at February’s schedule for example : dates in the UK are joined by those in Brazil, Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands. An extraordinary work ethic which has led to a lot of justified popularity. This summer also sees the return of one of Ibiza’s most popular nights – Judgement Sundays, where Jules takes his place alongside the likes of heavyweights Lisa Lashes, Eddie Halliwell and countless others.

MARCO V’s ‘False Light’ has just reached daytime play list on the likes of Radio 1. It’s an addictive outing that has caught the attention of many, including Judge Jules. The track will ride on the back of its predecessors – ‘Indicator’ and ‘Godd’ are just a few examples. Romania, India, Italy, Spain, France, Malta, China, Brazil, Greece and many more will all have been covered in the few months leading up Marco V’s much anticipated appearance at Crasher.

MATT HARDWICK’s nomination for Radio 1’s ‘Best Essential Mix of the Year’ is justification for such a hard-working, successful DJ. International gigs and working tirelessly with the like of Smith & Pledger are just two aspects that make up the very thriving career of one of trance’s most prolific DJ’s. A career that was favoured instead of one on the football pitch with Sheffield Wednesday FC.

ANDY MOOR’s production runs through the likes of Anunjabeats, Baroque, Sunkissed, Armind and so many more. Stemming from the Midlands, Andy is now more likely to be found DJing as far away as Malaysia, the USA and Japan and has already been confirmed to appear at this year’s Miami Winter Music Conference.

After setting up the DMC offices in New York, GUY ORNADEL has continued to excel within dance music as a whole. ‘Ornadel Management’ continues to be considered one of the market leaders today – and with appearances at nearly all of the UK’s major festivals and clubs around the world, things have never been as hectic. He has also mixed albums for the likes of Automatic Records, Muzik Magazine and Slinky; runs his own show on Ministry Of Sound Radio – and has also held prominent residencies with Passion and Promise.

RILEY & DURRANT, better known as Andi Durrant and Nick Riley, are one of the scene’s most recent success stories. You just wonder if these guys get time to sleep with all they have going on. Running numerous Galaxy FM shows, an extensive and ever-growing gig diary, Gatecrasher residents, production and remixes for the likes of Black Hole (Holland), Yazuka (Holland) and a whole lot more!

WILL HOLLAND’s recent rise to stardom continues with his notably consistently original production and remixes – and a gig diary that features the likes of Gatecrasher, Passion, Goodgreef, Slinky and Wildchild. A prominent feature on the airwaves, Will is most noted for his productions like 'Summer Breeze' and 'Timeless' on his own Enhanced Recordings label, as well as remixing and releasing on the likes of Bonzai, Platipus, Monster Tunes and Connected.
