CRASHER, THE RECKONING @ GATECRASHER ONE, SHEFFIELD – BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY 28th MAY, 2006

After the massive demand and sell-out of the 16th April event at the same club – and continuing their pledge to inject tomorrow’s trance onto the dance floor of the Mecca that is Gatecrasher One in Sheffield, Crasher is back - on Sunday 28th May 2006 - with a headliner to die for - Armin Van Buuren!

Joining him in the main room, a whole host of current and future stars jostle for flyer space in what promises to be a roadblock – as is usual. Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, Matt Hardwick, Riley & Durrant and Will Holland all feature, with Corey, Filthy Rich, Sandy Turnbull and the Funk Junkies on hand to rock the Electric Box.

Gatecrasher is always there to ensure that Bank Holidays are party-fuelled – with extremely popular events in Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham and countless others cities. Already this year, the likes of Judge Jules, Marco V, Andy Moor, JFK, John OO Fleming, Talla 2XLC and Rank 1 have all graced the decks at Gatecrasher’s breath-taking events.

Those who wish to attend this event are advised to get their tickets very early – as this event can only cater for 1400 very lucky clubbers. Unsurprisingly, the April 16th event completely sold out, but a number of early-bird tickets are on sale at just £15 (plus booking fee). Tickets for Gatecrasher One events have been known to fetch up to £150 on EBay, so it really is a good idea to get organised and get tickets early.

ARMIN VAN BUUREN is the award-winning, jet setting DJ that will have trance fans swarming to Gatecrasher One in their droves – his popularity is outstanding. Listing all of his original productions and remixes would take an eternity, but you’d be hard pressed to beat ‘Blue Fear’ and ‘Communication’ in terms of popularity. A master of the compilations, Armin has also been justifiably catapulted into the DJ Mag top 100 at the extremely high end (we’re talking top 5 here!). Artist albums ‘76’ and ‘Shivers’ continue to amaze whilst Armin’s radio presence continues to be his form of delivering to his masses. Armin’s gig diary in March, April and May alone boasts Bucharest, Tel Aviv, San Diego, Miami, Dallas, Puerto Rico, Boston, Washington, Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Montreal, Kiev, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Prague and The Hague – a hell of a schedule.

ABOVE & BEYOND have barely touched back onto UK soil when they come to rock Crasher on the 28th May, having embarked on a near-month-long tour of the USA and Canada, epitomising their hectic schedule and work ethic. Nominated in no fewer than six categories at the International Dance Music Awards; Jonathan Grant, Paavo Siljamäki and Tony McGuiness have recently released their ‘Tri-State’ LP to critical acclaim. Everything they are involved with seems to be on fire at the moment – from their Anjunabeats label, to their ‘Trance Around The World’ radio show.

Scoring highly in the DJ Magazine Top 100, MARKUS SCHULZ continues to relish in the limelight. His own ‘Global DJ Broadcast’ has helped to propel him, as has his own Coldharbour Recordings. A familiar face on the worldwide festival scene, having taken in the likes of Nature One, Dancevalley, Love Parade and Global Gathering, there aren’t many artists who can boast the likes of Depeche Mode, Madonna, Everything But The Girl, Fatboy Slim and Blue Amazon as to who they have worked with. When you consider that he’s also covered the likes of Electronic Elements, Armada, Anjunabeats, Lost Language, Yoshitoshi, Global Underground, Bedrock and Skint as labels he’s produced for, you begin to realise the impact that Markus has had – and why he too will be held in high regard by the Gatecrasher faithful.

MATT HARDWICK’s nomination for Radio 1’s ‘Best Essential Mix of the Year’ is justification for such a hard-working, successful DJ. International gigs and working tirelessly with the like of Smith & Pledger are just two aspects that make up the very thriving career of one of trance’s most prolific DJ’s. A career that was favoured instead of one on the football pitch with Sheffield Wednesday FC.

RILEY & DURRANT, better known as Andi Durrant and Nick Riley, are one of the scene’s most recent success stories. You just wonder if these guys get time to sleep with all they have going on. Running numerous Galaxy FM shows, an extensive and ever-growing gig diary, Gatecrasher residents, production and remixes for the likes of Black Hole (Holland), Yazuka (Holland) and a whole lot more!

WILL HOLLAND’s recent rise to stardom continues with his notably consistently original production and remixes – and a gig diary that features the likes of Gatecrasher, Passion, Goodgreef, Slinky and Wildchild. A prominent feature on the airwaves, Will is most noted for his productions like 'Summer Breeze' and 'Timeless' on his own Enhanced Recordings label, as well as remixing and releasing on the likes of Bonzai, Platipus, Monster Tunes and Connected.

I've just been informed by Gatecrasher HQ that only a few tickets remain for this with little over a week to go.

It's heading for a capacity, rammed Gatecrasher One - it promises to be one of the best events ever to take place at the club.

www.gatecrasher.com/tickets has a few remaining tickets. Please, if you are thinking of going, it's not too late, but you should sort your tickets out as soon as possible.
