Fair play man you crack me up! its fast but not hardcore and it has breakdowns for the sake of having breakdowns. thats hardhouse imo Hard house & hard style are completely different Happy, what are you on????? they're not COMPLETELY different tho. i've been to the odd hardstyle night as well as too many hardhouse nights. if you compare the difference between hardstyle and hardhouse, to the difference between either of them 2 and techno/trance/house/electro/breakbeat/hip-hop/etc then they will start to sound very simular. its just small minded purists that are happy to goto a club and hear the same kick drum and hoover samples for 9 hours that think hardstyle isnt just a variation of hardhouse if they really are different genres, then why the fuk is it soo hard to tell the difference between the 2 without having to listen to it for hours on end? no one has a problem about telling the difference between techno and trance or hardcore and house its just purists trying to re-invent the wheel Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

CTW Members JonDaniels Posted March 3, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted March 3, 2004 I just want to say, in my opinion, no form of music is better than the other. To me, they all have their uses. See, it depends on your mood, environment etc... as to what music goes well. If I am at home, Trance is cool to listen to, don't mind it in a club really as long as I am going to hear that. Hard House is better in a club to listen to, full lasers going off etc.... but not as good playing it at home. I don't write any form of music off, like I said, it all has its uses. CTW Members Mr Happy Posted March 3, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted March 3, 2004 QUOTE (miss_diddy @ Mar 3 2004, 20:09) hardstyle, is more, if anything, like hard german trance Laurence. IMO!! but (if i remember rightly) german hardtrance was just the old name for hardstyle before the hardcore crew gang raped it. plus german hardtrance was usually played in hardhouse clubs Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

CTW Members Mark 2 Posted March 3, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted March 3, 2004 For me, it has to be Trance... mostly euphoric stuff, sometimes dirty or sometimes hard trance. I do like hardhouse if im in the mood but it all sounds a bit too samey samey to me now after bombarding myself with it last year.. Trance has always been in my blood since '96/97 and i believe its getting better and better again after a couple of years in the wilderness
CTW Moderators Maria Posted March 3, 2004 CTW Moderators Share Posted March 3, 2004 If I EVER had to chose between Hardhouse and Trance (and I LOVE both), then I would most deffo without a shadow of a doubt, choose Trance Quote ClubTheWorld.com's OFFICIAL Events Reviewer
CTW Members BenRW Posted March 4, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted March 4, 2004 QUOTE (Louise @ Mar 3 2004, 20:11) im gonna sound very nieve here but whats the difference between german and british/other trance? german trance is stuff like Dj scott projects or cosmic gate stuff. Listen to the bassline of their style of tracks and that is essentially german trance My opinion of hardstyle that its german trance without the trance. Basically that style of bassline with a load of noise. Nothing at all related to hard house imo. Completely different sounding basslines, sounds - basically the only thing they have similar is the drums.
