CTW DJs Ikon Posted March 4, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted March 4, 2004 QUOTE (Mr_Happy @ Mar 3 2004, 19:23) they're not COMPLETELY different tho. i've been to the odd hardstyle night as well as too many hardhouse nights. if you compare the difference between hardstyle and hardhouse, to the difference between either of them 2 and techno/trance/house/electro/breakbeat/hip-hop/etc then they will start to sound very simular. its just small minded purists that are happy to goto a club and hear the same kick drum and hoover samples for 9 hours that think hardstyle isnt just a variation of hardhouse if they really are different genres, then why the fuk is it soo hard to tell the difference between the 2 without having to listen to it for hours on end? no one has a problem about telling the difference between techno and trance or hardcore and house its just purists trying to re-invent the wheel Mate, you really dont know what your on about! CTW DJs Ikon Posted March 4, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted March 4, 2004 QUOTE (Mr_Happy @ Mar 3 2004, 20:35) but (if i remember rightly) german hardtrance was just the old name for hardstyle before the hardcore crew gang raped it. plus german hardtrance was usually played in hardhouse clubs Wrong again! heh! CTW DJs Ian Cashman Posted March 4, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted March 4, 2004 i dont think this poll gives a true perspective anyway... hard trance and trance people have been stuck under one catagory which is kinda like putting u.s. garage and u.k. garage in the same catagory. you cant do it cos they are sooooo different! i hate pidgoen holeing music, but any poll yhat puts tidytwo etc. records in the same league as atcr etc. is fundamentally flawed.
