At the age of 26, Eddie Halliwell is on top of the world, there’s no denying it. Twice voted the No.1 DJ in the world by the readers of Mixmag, Eddie’s unique ability and showmanship behind the decks has seen him become one of the most in demand DJs in the world. To celebrate his forthcoming summer season in Ibiza, the UK’s leading club brand Cream have asked Eddie to mix the first of their Cream Ibiza mix albums focused around Eddie’s five dates with them this year on the White Isle.

 

Over the last five years Cream has become synonymous with Ibiza, it’s legendary parties on Thursday nights at Amnesia Club have become generally accepted as the BIGGEST night in Ibiza. Over the years their parties have featured some of the worlds leading DJ’s including Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold, this year Cream team up with their newest recruit Eddie Halliwell who over five key dates will be making the club his own.

 

Originally hailing from Wigan in the North of England, Eddie made his name as resident of the infamous club nights Good Greef (MIxmag Club Of The Year 2004) and Gatecrasher, here he carved a name for himself through his intense DJ sets incorporating his own brand of scratching, his own exclusive re-edits and live sampling that leave crowds around the globe quite literally gasping for more. Over the last 3 years Eddie has molded himself into a true superstar DJ and can genuinely lay claim to be the leader of the new school of DJs. Eddie was also made resident on Radio 1 hosting one ‘Residency’ show on Saturday once every six weeks between 3am and 5am

 

Cream Ibiza – Eddie Halliwell doesn’t disappoint delivering an awesome snapshot of Eddie’s DJ talent over two CD’s representing two sides of his current musical tastes. CD One is a journey through twisted pumping house, electro and techno whilst CD Two is a full-on main room session of both euphoric, uplifting and Eddie’s trademark tech-trance sound. Both mixes will include exclusive re-edits of key tracks that Eddie himself has created to enhance this album to the max.

 

During the 2006 Ibiza season Cream will be at Amnesia every Thursday night running from 22nd June to 21st September. You can catch Eddie Halliwell live and direct on the following dates: 29th June (Album Launch Party), 20th July, 31st August, 14th Sept, 21st Sept.

 

For those not lucky enough to be heading to the White Isle you can catch Eddie on August 26th for Creamfields in Liverpool.
