nice_guy_danny
Hi all and welcome to the sequel to the extremely popular Flashpoint Records newsletter. If you missed last months, the newsletter is designed to bring all the upfront news about Flashpoint Records including reviews of the latest releases as well as the increasingly popular digital label. We also have the dirt on Marc Johnson’s newest Internet conquest…. intrigued? You bet you are, so read on for more info! Flashpoint 20 – Munkjack Vs Riggsy – Ixus This will be the second track in as many releases for the thrap happy brummie (Or Riggsy to you and me) and flaming Frank Farrell on Flashpoint, this time though Frank and studio partner Dave Owens combine under their guise Munkjack (Titled after a dead deer…. or something to that extent) to give what can only be described as grub on wax! Think Paris Hilton in one of her many plush hotels with a video camera and Ron Jeremy – It’s that damn dirty! With Munkjack still having their colossal double header on Toolbox, 600 Minutes and Hot Tamale battered by everyone and anyone its soon going to be the case that sets from NRG djs will be based around their tunes. Riggsy as usual has some amazing stuff coming up as expected but this has been in my sets for a while now and I’m still not sick of it. This is as underground as NRG gets throwing in the usual elements you can find in the dictionary under the word “Boshâ€! James Searles – Paranoid If you’ve not heard of James yet then this is the time to sit up and pay attention. Like the 3 tenors on the flip side to this beauty, he is one of the few producers out there who is producing good quality hard house (amongst other styles) and this is no exception. Having already notched up releases on Corrupted and Twisted Filth as well as forthcoming tracks on Toolbox House, X-Tension, Beat Technique and Filthy Ostrich it wasn’t going to be long till his outstanding studio skills got the attention of the boys at Flashpoint with this animal of a track being instantly snapped up. The good quality of his production skills shines right through this enabling it to crumble any dancefloor instantly. Although this is the B-Side, the catchy vocal and the pumping breakdown synth are the reasons why this track stands out so much that it’s on par with the A-side – Don’t miss out!
