Following from the success of Dirty habit’s debut event on the August Bank Holiday weekend, Jamm welcome back the DH crew and its trademark filthy beats. Topping the bill will be international superstar DJ Hyper. His contribution to dance music over the past 10 years has been immense, most recently you’d be hard pressed not to have heard his artist album ‘We Control’, the title track featuring in THAT Peugeot advert. As a solo artist, Hyper was the man behind the original Bedrock Breaks compilation, and he’s had literally hundreds of productions and remixes under his belt including work with some of the industry’s biggest stars, such as The Sugagbabes, Pink, BT, Paul Van Dyk, and Aha. His tracks and remixes regularly feature in sets from Sasha, Timo Maas, Meat Katie, Plump Djs, Chemical Brothers, and Oakenfold to name but a few. His Kilowatt label is one of the scene’s most successful and has consistently championed his distinctive rock-breaks sound. With a busy international schedule, Dirty Habit are lucky enough to get Hyper down to make his debut at Jamm, don’t miss it!

Well, everyone seemed to have a riot at the August Bank Holiday event, not least were Micky Slim and Richard Dinsdale. The two rising stars who both rocked the floor in their separate sets enjoyed the night so much that they’re back for a bit more of Dirty Habit; except this time they’re joining forces to unleash some back 2 back mayhem on Jamm. Since making his mark on the Essential Mix live from Global Gathering, he and his ‘Bombsquad’ label have been making big impressions on the scene and he is quickly becoming internationally sought after for remixes and collaborations. Dinsdale on the other hand has steadily been carving a reputation for himself as one of ‘the’ producers to watch. His jackin’ beats have consistently been clearing up on dancefloors across the globe on record labels such as Toolroom, Juicy Music, and Spin Out.

This Dirty Habit we are treating you to a few of the UK’s hottest up and coming DJ / Producers Jamie Mchugh and Jim Rivers. Jamie is currently one of the most exciting coming through the ranks and his break came when the legendary Brique Rouge head honcho signed some of his tracks to the label. Jamie’s tracks have subsequently featured on the massive labels CR2 and Saved and are consistently being championed by the likes of Funk D Void, Timo Maas, Hernan Cattaneo, and Nick Warren to name but a few. Jim Rivers is one of the most talked about producers to emerge from the UK scene in the past year. His first EVER release featured on Satoshi Tomeii’s coveted ‘Saw’ label, and he’s gone on to release for ‘Saved’, Nascent, and EQ Recordings. Jim is rapidly gaining gigs at some of the most discerning club nights throughout the country and we welcome both him and Jamie to the fold.

Other guests to round of this impressive line-up are Dillon Koenig, Adam Carter, and Mr. Lip. Dillon (real name Tom Koenig, Radio 1 Superproducer) is resident and promoter at the successful LMP events in London and Ibiza, he experience has seen him play with the likes of Annie Mac, Deepgroove, and Fergie. Adam Carter is known throughout the industry (apart from being Hyperactive’s ambassador for dance music promotions) as having a damn good ear for tunes. He is an oracle for all things dance music, and Dirty Habit welcome him and his dirty sounds. Mr. Lip (Nick to his mates) is one of the scene’s burgeoning DJs, coming up through the ranks swiftly whilst DJing his electro bleeps and breaks alongside Mylo, Soulwax, Riton and the New Young Pony Club. Also featuring is Spin Out Records’ A&R, producer and DJ Si McEvoy. Si has recently featured on Passion Radio and is currently working hard in the studio with Dylan Rhymes on a number of forthcoming projects. He is looking forward to an hour guestmix on Future Radio FM at the end of October and and a hectic release schedule at Spin Out.

Finally, lest we forget Dirty Habit resident John Donaghy. Things are starting to move rather quickly for John with his first release with studio partner Born Tricky played by none other than Carl Cox during one of his legendary sets at Space. The same track has subsequently been voted the best unsigned track, has featured in the ‘Furious 15’ on Fergie’s BBC Radio 1 show and has recently been picked up by Bomb Squad Recs. John is also currently in the process of setting up his label Shinook with the debut release set for the start of 2007.

Based on the incredible response to our August Bank Holiday shenanigans, Dirty Habit’s second event is set to be another debaucherous fest of filthy beats. We’ll see you down the front!
