Spin Out Records and Lot 49 join forces on January 13th at Herbal in Shoreditch to set the tone for 2007 with a top drawer night of quality House and Breaks. Bringing together a selection of producers and DJs from both labels this is set to be a real storming night hosted by one of the best clubs in Shoreditch. Set out over two floors Herbal boasts a wicked sound system, stylish décor and two cocktail bars, all within touching distance of the Old Street tube station.

Lot 49 have one of the most consistent track records of backing and developing quality artists of any label in dance music today. This creative drive and quality control has come directly from label boss Meat Katie who is renowned as much for his energetic tech-funk DJ sets as he is for his outstanding productions. He has built up a huge following of support from other DJs including Elite Force, The Crystal Method, John Aquaviva, Deep Dish, and many more. He’s been one of Spin Out’s biggest supporters since day one and has a forthcoming remix on the label thus he’s the perfect choice to headline this collaborative party.

Dylan Rhymes is Lot 49’s new co-owner, although he has been a stalwart on the label since its inception and close friend of the Meat’s for years. Alongside Mark he has helped pioneer the sound of Lot 49, not least through his own productions and remixes and also through working alongside the likes of Mark himself in the studio.

James Harcourt is one of house music’s hottest rising stars, pushing the fresh new sound of eclectic electronic house through his label; “Twisted Frequency”. Started in January 2006 its has seen releases from Jamie McHugh, Dave Robertson, the Electric Press and of course James himself. His forthcoming single ‘Galia Melon’ is out on Spin Out in March.

Caninesounds are the voice of dance music for Passion Radio in Brighton. Their weekly radio show picks up over 30,000 listeners, making it more popular than Radio 1’s dance output in this area. Their hectic DJing schedule takes them across the UK and beyond, with gigs in London, Brighton, Newcastle, Amsterdam and Barcelona already booked in for 2007. From January 2007 Spin Out has been sponsoring their radio show and is pleased to welcome Sam and Andy into the Spin Out family.

Si McEvoy is Spin Out’s resident DJ, producer and also events manager for the label. He has been extremely busy over the past few months, planning Spin Out’s events for 2007 (of which there are already over 20 planned) whilst also finding time to fit in an ever growing list of DJing commitments. In addition he has been busy in the studio with remixes for Swain & Paris and Rich Dinsdale due for release and an original track with Dylan Rhymes underway.

John Donaghy is one half of dance music duo Outmode alongside studio partner Born Tricky (Jeremy Duffy). Their debut track, ‘True’ has been signed to Italian label Rebirth and received massive support from the industry, including plays by Carl Cox, John Aquaviva and Micky Slim, plus was featured as part of King Unique’s recent top 10 feature in DJ Mag. He is currently a resident for Maximal at the Key, and has just completed a remix for Electric Passion by A:Lee on Oxyd, out now.

With a few special DJing suprises in store, this night is set to kick off the London clubbing calendar in style…so put on your dancing shoes and get your arse down to Shoreditch on the 13th. Pity da fool who doesn’t!! Love, Spin Out & Lot 49.
