A tribute to Armin Van Buren by JFK

 

Over the last 12 years, Passion has been fortunate enough to have been able to provide a platform for the worlds greatest DJ’s to showcase their talent.

 

In that time we have seen may young artists grow and go onto conquer the dance world.

 

We have never claimed to have ‘found’ these artists but we acted merely as a cog in the growth of their careers, but we know that they had a big part in helping create what Passion has become today.

 

One such talent we were asked to expose during the late 90’s was a Dutch DJ called ‘Armin Van Buuren’. His loveable manner and silky crowd pleasing DJ skills went onto win him such adoration that we just had to offer him a monthly residency; he even used to dance on the podiums in the crowds after his sets!

 

Soon after this his career moved into fast forward, his radio show was winning awards and his renowned record label and production work soon meant he was one of the worlds most in demand DJs and has recently been voted as the 2nd in DJ magazines prestigious top 100.

 

Armin has never forgotten his roots and when I made the call asking whether he would return after a three year absence… he said:

‘Count me in… let’s call it THE HOMECOMING’
