SPIN OUT RECORDS - SUBSOURCE - THIS TOWN - OUT 23RD APRIL DJ DOWNLOAD EXCLUSIVE!!

2007 has already seen Spin Out release 2 simply huge records in Swain & Paris - ‘Come As One’ and Richard Dinsdale - ‘She Wants Me’. Next up is a vinyl which there has been a massive buzz about for a number of months now as DJs have eagerly waited for their chance to get their hands on it. ‘This Town’ is a peak time breaks anthem from Surrey based live dance act Subsource and features one of our strongest remix packages ever. With floor rockin’ rerubs from man-of-the-moment Hook & Sling, Simpleton and Aussie breaks engineer Andy Page (for digital release only) this is destined to become an essential for all house & breaks DJs over the coming months.

First up in the package is the Hook & Sling remix and dub and it is with no hesitation we can say it is one of the best pieces of music we’ve ever released. Tough, stomping beats chug away under buzzing analogue synths and chopped, gated bass. A massive breakdown is topped by that memorable vocal and you have a surefire club classic. Play this once and watch the reaction, you might not get another like it all night!

Not to be outdone Simpleton throws in a tougher, darker electro-house mix which will suit techno and house DJs alike. Gritty, bitcrushed production on the drums sits brilliantly with the sampled, shouting vocal and gives the perfect backdrop to a great big whacking electro bassline. Definitely one for the harder moments in a set, this is guaranteed to separate the men from the boys!

Next up is Lost in London and Found on Friday remixes, both special variants of the original commissioned exclusively for this release. Lost in London is by Subsource themselves, taking the essential elements of the original and giving it a clubby rerub. A solid break does the job under that classic vocal and heavy synth stabs giving the record an almost tribal feel. Found on Friday is on a similar vibe, but this time enlists the creativity of Andy Page to give it a tweak and polish. Again he sticks with the breaks but gives it a new bassline and a glistening new breakdown to create another new twist for this massive package.

Finally the original completes the release this time with a direct recording of their live version. A fantastic song with haunting melodies and wonderful atmosphere and dynamics it sounds even better experienced live where they perform it on drums, guitars, synths, keyboards and even an electric double-bass! These guys are definitely ones to watch in 2007. Already getting DJ support from the likes of James Harcourt, Jono Fernandez, Meat Katie, it was also chosen by London club night Platform 12 to be the sound track to their 2007 promotional video!

This Town is available to buy on Vinyl from all good Vinyl stockists from the 16th of April, and all digital partners shortly after.
